My children's favorite dinneR (as to be chicken schnitzel with mashed spuds and veg. I slice my chicken breasts in half horizontally coat in flour then egg and use a prepared sage, rosemary and thyme stuffing mix for the crumbs, served with lemon or chicken gravy. Here is another they enjoy
1 onion, finely chopped 500g minced beef 1 carrot grated 3/4 cup water 1/4 cup tomato paste 1 tsp light soy sauce 1 tsp worchestershire sauce 1 large beef stock cube 1/2 tsp dried mixed herbs 1/2 tsp thyme cornflour and extra water for thickening if required Heat oil in pan and add onion, mince and carrot, cook till mince is well browned. Stir in water, paste, sauces, stock cube, boil then cover and reduce to simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in blended cornflour and water till combined, return to heat and stir till thickened. Place in an oven proof dish and top with mashed potatoes. Bake in oven till heated through and top is well browned.
