This recipe is fairly good.(Yes Maureen I actually made it! lol) 2 cups dried rotini pasta 1 beaten egg 1/4 cup milk 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese 8 ounces ground beef 1/3 cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic minced 1 med green or yellow sweet pepper cut into strips 1 can stewed tomatoes 1/2 tsp italian seasoning 1 can sliced mushrooms 1/8 to 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Cook pasta till tender but still firm, rinse and drain well For pasta crust, mix egg, milk and parmesan cheese, stir in pasta. Spread pasta mixture in a pizza pan evenly. bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minute. Meanwhile in a large skillet cook eef onion and garlic till meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain fat. Add pepper strips, tomatoes(cut up large pieces) and seasoning. Bring to boiling, reduce heat and simmer till most of the liquid is evaporated, stirring once or twice. Stir in mushrooms and red pepper. Spoon meat mixture over crust. SPrinkle wiht cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven 10 to 12 mins or untill heated through and cheese is melted. I made htis last night and it wasnt bad. Ithink if I make it again, I will add more ingredients. Like less beef and add in chopped pepperoni or other pizza ingredients. And maybe substitute some regular pizza sauce instead of the tomatoes. Just a few suggestion if any one wants to try this.
