1/2 lb of ground pork 1/2 lb of ground beef 1/2 lb of ground Italian sausage 1 Large onion - chopped med to small 1 Large Green pepper - chopped med to small 1 to 2 Cups fresh slice mushrooms (optional) 1/2 clove garlic diced fine oregano italian seasoning (any type) 2 Cans Tomatoes 1 Can Tomato Sauce 1 or 2 cans tomato paste
Mix all the meat and blend well (You can use this mixture for meatballs if you prefer) or leave in bulk for meat sauce
Saute meat with onions, peppers, mushrooms and all spices, as soon as tender
Drain what grease you can
Add tomatoes and sauce
Simmer till it starts to thicken
Add 1 to 2 cans of tomato paste - amount of paste depends on how much sauce you want
As for seasonings there is no specific amount, but I sprinkle a fine mist over mixture of meat - so its more or lest to your families taste.
Some people like more seasoning some less - adjust to your family
The tomato paste really causes sauce to thicken, to make smoother add water until you reach consistency you prefer
Serve over any type of pasta
I prefer Thin Spaghetti, or Rigatoni, or Large Shells - Kids seem to like to Rigatoni
