1 3 1/2 lb chicken (or so) 1/2 cup fat (oil is fine low fat okay) 1 onion sliced thin 2 1/2 cup tomatoes - can used canned - fresh best 1/2 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepper
Wash, clean chicken cut into serving pieces
Brown chicken well in a dutch oven on all sides
Add the onion, tomtoes, salt, pepper
Cook at reduced heat 45 - 60 minutes or until chicken is tender
Serve with spaghetti

Note: precut and boneless chicken can be used, myself I use boneless chicken breast cut into large chunks
this is a old time recipe and I don't think they knew you could get bonesless chicken yet LOL
Variation: In place of tomatoes you can use any type of spaghetti or marinara sauce
Variation: You can also slice a green pepper and/or mushrooms also, fix to your family liking
