Shrimp Scampi With Fettuccini

1 1/2 pounds of peeled, deveined shrimp
2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions
1 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
Parmesan cheese, optional

Preparation
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat
Add the shrimp, onions, basil, parsley, lemon juice, salt and garlic and cook for about 2 to
3 minutes
Stir frequently
Remove from heat when shrimp are pink and firm
Sprinkle with cheese
Cook 8 ounces of fettuccine as directed on the package
Toss the fettuccine with the shrimp mixture and serve
