1 recipe White Chocolate Meringue Shells(recipe to follow) 3/4 of an 8ox pkg cream cheese softened 1/2 cup light dairy sour cream 2 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/4 of an 8 oz container frozen whipped topping thawed 1 oz semisweet chocolate cut up 1/2 tsp shortening 3 to 4 cups hulled small strawberries 1/4 cup strawberry jelly 1 to 2 tsp water
Shell recipe: let 3 lagre egg white stand in a large mixing bowl for 30 minutes. Cover a baking sheet with clean plain brown paper or foil; draw 8 three inch circles. Add 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1/4 tsp cream of tartar to egg whites. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed till soft peaks form. Add 1 cup sugar a tbsp at a time beating on high speed till very stiff peaks form and sugar is almost dissolved. Forl in 1 oz of grated white chocolate baking square(about 6 tbsp). Spread or pipe meringue over circles on paper and sahpe into shells. Bake in a 300 degree oven for 30 minutes. Turn oven off; let meringues dry inoven with door closed ofr at least one hour(do not open door) Peel off paper. Filling for shells: In a mixing bowl beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla till smooth. Fold in thawed topping. Spread evenly in the meringues shells. Cover and chill for about an hour. In a small heavy saucepan melt the chocolate with shortening, cool. Drizzles over tops and sides of filled shells. Arrange berries, hulled end down, over cream cheese filling. In a small saucepan heat jelly till just melted. Drizzle over arranged berries. Sounds yummy huh? I can't wait to make these!
