Pumpkin Bread

3 cups sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup corn oil
1/2 teaspoon cloves
4 large eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pound pumpkin, canned
1 teaspoon nutmeg
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon allspice
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup water

Combine sugar, oil and eggs. Add pumpkin. Sift together the dry ingredients (flour through allspice.). Stir them into the pumpkin mixture. Add nuts, then water. Mix well. Pour into 3 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
