Momildoit

I picked this up somewhere, it sounds good but I haven't tried it yet. When you try it let me know what you think.

3 tablespoons unsalted butter,melted
1 cup cornmeal, plus 1 tablespoon
1 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold cooked grits
1 2/3 cups buttermilk
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper or more to taste

Brush the sides and brush the pan (9 inch round) with some of the butter. Dust with 1 tablespoon cornmeal, sift the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Combine the grits, butter, milk, eggs and remaining butter in a food processor. Pulse until smooth. Combine thoroughly and quickly poor into flour mixture. Put batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle black pepper on top. Bake into 400 degree oven until top is slightly browned and center is set. Let cool a few minutes before removing from pan.
