1 lb ground beef 1 cup mexican bend cheese divided 1/2 cup salsa divided 1/4 cup crushed tortilla chips 1/4 cup green onion thinly sliced 1 tsp ground cumin or chili powder 1/2 tsp garlic salt 4 hamburger buns plit or sourdough bread lettuce tomato slices In a medium bowl combine beef, 3/4 cup cheese, 1/4 cup salsa, tortilla chips,green onions, cumin and garlic salt. Shape into 4 patties. Grill or broil on an oiled rack 5 to 6 inches from heat 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Grill or lightly toast buns in broiler. Place burgers on buns, top with remaining salsa and cheese. Serve with lettuce and tomato.
