I serve these with the brown sugar ice crem I just posted. But they are just as nice on their own. 2 cups flour 2 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup + 3 Tbsp sugar 6 Tbsp butter, room temp 2 large eggs 1 large egg yolk 1 tsp vanilla extract Preheat oven to 325. Combine flour, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, baking powder, and salt in med bowl. Beat 1 cup sugar and butter in large bowl untill fluffy. Add 1 egg. Beat well. Add yolk. Beat. Mix in vanilla, then dry ingredients. Divide dough in half. Shape each half into a log 9" long by 1 1/2" wide. Transfer to greased and floured baking sheets. Beat egg and brush over logs. Bake 50 minutes. Cool on sheets. Cut each on slight diagonal into 15-20 pieces. Lay on cut sides and sprinkle 1/4 tsp cinnamon sugar over each. Bake about 20 minutes. Cool. These cookies keep for a very long time stored in an airtight container. -Chloe
