I have taken this to church when we've had several bring homemade ice cream and it is always complete gone. Since you do not have to cook anything first it is really easy. 4 Eggs 2 1/2 cups sugar 7 cups milk 3 cups whipping cream 2 1/2 Tablespoons vanilla 1/2 Teaspoon Salt Beat eggs till light. Add sugar gradually, beating until thick. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Freeze in 5 qt. ice cream freezer. Makes 1 gallon. Note I have used egg beaters instead of regular eggs since it is not cooked and it came out fine.
