Remembrances

 

We have lost two special people recently.

 

Frieda Lechthaler, a long-time MALFA member passed away March 14, 2009 after suffering a stroke.  She was 93.  She was known to members for her enthusiasm for archaeology and like.  She lived in the fast lane and enjoyed the adventures life had to offer, and she made the most of them.  Frieda was unique.  Our thoughts are with her family.

 

 Susan Sutter Abrassart was a dedicated MALFA member. She worked long hours to make our 75th Annual NYSAA meeting the success that it was.  She was also instrumental in our move to Croton Point Park in the 1990s.  Her husband notified us of her death on December 26, 2008.  No details were given.  She will be remembered by all of us who shared her MALFA years.
