In my Creative Writing course, my teacher gave us the task of re-writing a fairy tale with a twist. As bored and tired as I was, this sick, twisted, sadistic idea popped into my head. I hope you all enjoy my insanity ^_^.
Once upon a time in a land far, far away, there lived a princess named Rapunzel.
Rapunzel was a beautiful maiden who was fair of face, but her most prominent feature was her long, golden hair.
Now, there were two men that were currently in Rapunzel's life: The good prince and the bad prince. Although the good prince loved Rapunzel dearly, she had a thing for the bad boys, and so, decided to choose the bad prince to be her husband. Although he would not admit it, the good prince was bitter.
One day, the bad prince turned on the beautiful Rapunzel and decided to lock her up in one of the the towers in his castle to keep her from leaving. Rapunzel cried and cried, realizing the mistake that she had made by choosing the bad prince for her husband.
Rapunzel spent days calling out of the lone window in the tower for the good prince to come and help her. One day, he actually showed up.
"Save me!" Rapunzel pleaded.
"Oh, Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!" called the good prince, and so she did.
When Rapunzel's hair finally reached the bottom of the tower, the good prince took out his sword and shocked Rapunzel by cutting off as much of her hair as he possibly could.
"Now, you are stuck there forever!" he said. "That will teach you!" and the good prince promptly walked off.
And the good prince lived happily ever after. THE END!
