One night I was feeling really down and very self-concious, I was putting myself down. But, once again, Joe the amazing boyfriend came to the rescue. I wrote this poem for him as a sort of thanks. Its the first time i've ever written a poem specifically for a person. He thought it was great, and I hope you will think so too.
You can find the beauty in a rainbow
Shining in the sunlight
Or in a flower in a field
Blooming in an array of colors.
You can find the sweetness in a pie
Baked to a warm, golden brown
Or in a chocolate cake
With the pretty sugar flowers on top.
You can hear the harmony in a song
The notes resonating in the air
Or a talented orchestra quartet
Balancing and blending together.
Beauty, sweetness, and harmony
Are hard to find in a person
Yet, despite that,
You�ve found them in me.
And until you saw it
I didn�t see it in myself
But now I see
The beauty inside of me.
