Liskariki Chapter Four
Dawn came quick upon me. No wind had stirred the morning air. I put away my sail and set up camp. The bird, was anxiously waiting to relive its bladder. Releasing the bird from my grasp, the bird flew about five feet from the came and relived its self.
This was bad, for the wind had not come and it had become very cold. I then decided to hunt, for after the next meal I would have no food left. The sky was clear and blue, this meant a storm and cold is coming tonight. I set out with my bow and sword to hunt. Hiopenk has a lot of wild animals, this includes predators. Shariaka decided to follow me into the woods. I dashed into a clearing and ducked, and image congregated into my mind. I was soaring above the clouds until I descended, speeding up faster and faster. I then came to a complete halt, and lowered down to a branch. I then saw a young woman no older than my own self. I then snapped to my conscious. I traveled swiftly to search, as not to scare any animals. Hours passed and I became very exhausted so I sat on a huge oak root that stood above the ground. A twitch caught my eye. A huge cooking pan hurdled threw the air in my direction I gently moved to my right, missing the cooking pan. A loud screech sound burst the fresh air with its putrid sound, and a human covered in furs ran toward me with a sharpened stick that was held tightly in their hand. Drawing my sword is sliced the tip off of the wooden spear and then jumped forward with my knee raised to hit them in the chest, when they decided to take the blow from my knee to their head. They instantly fell limp. As the fell to the ground their hood came loose and fell off of their head. A female. I then took their unconscious body and dragged them back to my campsite were I bound them in ropes and started a fire in the fire place in the middle of the hut and went out to find some animal. I found a small animal, its race wasnt distinct but it was a decent size for eating, stringing and arrow into my boy I aimed for the heart of the animal. In a flash the animal came upon me unnaturally fast. I aimed and released the arrow. The animal was struck in the head with the arrow. The arrow was clearly sticking threw its head, however the animal continued to charge toward me. Drawing my sword I parried the animals blow, sending the animal horizontally toward a tree. With loud crunch the animal, on impact, shattered all of its vertebrae. The animal went limp. Reaching for the animal I say that the animals head, really was its tail and the real head was in the center of its body. Dragging the nearly dead animal back to my hut I noticed that the same rock that was purple with spots appeared in my jacket pocket. Gleaming, I reached for it. An enormous amount of power flushed threw my veins and I felt stronger and capable of more things. I grabbed the animal with one hand and arm that would normally take two. After trudging a few miles I came upon my campsite. Entering my hut I found the female huddled up close to the fire, still bound in ropes. Looking at me upon my arrival. Entering the hut I placed the animal by my cooking utensils. Sitting down in front of he until her gaze finally me mine. Her hazel eyes made her essence overwhelming with beauty. What is your name? I asked.
Naianera, and yours? she replied.
Liskariki I said, skinning the animal. Why are you here on Hiopenk?
My business is my own! she said, abruptly Now please unbind me!
Not until you tell me why you are here! I replied, back. She did not speak until I finished skinning the animal.
I am going to Asliagia to meet up with my great uncleDonamon Funk she replied. This was imposable for no one inhabits the frozen Iceland.
Imposable for no one lives there! I yelled.
How would you know? she replied.
Because I was there, and I am the
You are the what? she asked.
I am th-th-the best trapper around. I replied.
Fine I might as well tell you, cuz it doesnt really matter he probably wont like me ant way. I am going to Zeffrain to try to convince the younger prince of Zeffrain to marry me.
What makes you think he will want you, he hasnt seen you before, and you dont even know his name? I questioned, further.
Well I am going to try, and if it fails, ill try to be his made. Bu I am not going back to Glenos Village. She answered. Well then were you from?
II am a farmer and I am going to Comone Village to farm. I lied in response.
If that was true then why are you traveling with a sword?
Because I am bear farming, I said, trying to cover up my grin.
Yeah right, you ling Pig Breath! she cursed.
I wouldnt be making such fierce comments if I were you, bound up in ropes. I stated. Her face melted into a frown. I dumped the flesh of the animal into a cooking pot along with melted snow and three leaves from a Hongebon bush and some Gonekic root slices. The ingredients for the soup had to be collected in the summer, however back in Zeffrain I traded some gold coins for them. The ingredients only had to be replaced once every two years. I shut my eyes to relax.
I am tired do you have a bed? she asked, in a kind voice even thought she was terrified.
only on for my self; youre in cloths, you should be fine. I remarked. The air was still, as the suns glair finally disappeared from the canvas on the tent. Life seemed meaning less and dull until the call of a distant wolf sprung the excitement of life back together.
Do you have any siblings? she asked.
One, older brother. I replied.
What is his name, and who are your parents? she asked.
Eeonkerie is my brother, and ummmm my parents are farmers. I said, sheepishly as my eyelids got heavier.
What is their names? she asked.
um I said foods done, I said, being very discursive. Reaching forward I unbound the ropes that kept he from moving. Reaching forward she warmed her hands then took a bowl that I was waving in her face. The stew simmered as it splashed into the bowl. Handing her a eating utensil, I grabbed a bowl and begin to eat. Once we had finished eating I doused the fire and laid down the bowl into some melted snow to rinse off the meal I ate. Leaning back I felt the cold air from out side coming in from the door way. I then closed the flap on the hut.
what was your child hood like she asked, trying to get comfortable to sit a long amount of the time.
I grew up on the outskirts of.Halopu Planes. My dad was a king of a small village so I was treated whit huge respect. I had every thing accept real love. My dad was too busy to talk to me, however my bigger brother was a scholar, so he was very busy, even in his busy schedule he found some time to play with me, but it still wasnt enough. The only person who really cared about my health not wealth, was Aregnt, my friend, who of financial problems had to leave. So I went to go seem him and and so I took some food a tent and a sword and bow so I could reach there bit when I was going there I got caught by my fathers armies and they took me back to my house until I finally escaped from their grasps and found my way there. When I got to their house and I asked for Aregnt, and they were dead in a hunting accident, sad I and going back to Halopu to my family. I said, reminiscing on my past. All that I said was true except the locations, to fool her. I lied down placing my self in my sleeping bag. I looked at the moisture drops, occasionally dripping form the ceiling of the tent. I seemed lifeless. Well good night! I said.
Good night. She replied. I lay still, until Shariaka hopped toward me and crawled next to me reaching forward I tucked the bird into my sleeping bag.
What is her name? asked a mysterious voice.
What? I whispered Who is it?
This is Shariaka! Shariaka answered.
reaching forward I felt the beak of my bird move accordingly to the words that were spoken. Bblaugh! Pppithffpth, move your Pithpffth! Hands! Shariaka said. Then I released my hands off of the bird. I just to tell you that the female that we just found sspeeks the truth, now go to bedBefore I bite you. Shariaka said.
Bite whom? I asked, as the pinching of the birds beak bit my shoulder. Ouch! I said, in pain. After my throbbing shoulder seized I lay down and soon fell asleep.
