Liskariki Chapter Three
The moon was high in the sky when I awoke. I started to go outside when I heard voices. “Were is he?” said the first voice.
“I dont know.” Answered the second voice.
“maybe we missed him on our way up the mountain, lets go back down.” Suggested a third voice. Foot steps went down the mountain. I quickly scurried out of the door of my hut looking back to were my hut would be but there was nothing. Reaching forward I felt the tent was still there, my tent had become invisible along with the stuff in it. The wind was stronger than before. I packed the tent up and unfolded my collapsible sail. After attaching the bird in my jacket pocket I climbed out of the dug out area that I had made for the tent, and also climbed to a mound of rocks and set my sail, so that I had attached onto my waist into the wind. The wind instantly caught my sail and I shot into the sky spinning I began to lose altitude, then I came into the up right position and began to soar north in at least fifty miles per hour. The wind increased its power. I was now traveling faster than before; and I figured that I should reach Hiopenk by noon. I then curled inside of my coat to talk and look at the bird. The bird rustled when it noticed that my gaze had fallen upon them reaching into a pocked inside my coat, I pulled out some dried meat. Giving the bird a small portion then some to my self. I knew this ride would take a while, so I best better get some rest.

I awoke as we began the descent to Hiopenk, I poked my head outside of the coat, the wind had almost completely stopped. I was sill hundreds of feet above the island. The Hiopenk Mountains were coming extremely close; the thought of crashing into them struck my mind. I then slowly arranged my sail in the wind to fold. I instantly fell. The ground was coming quicker than I anticipated. I quickly opened the sail back up to slowly level my speed had decreased to almost nothing, for the wind was holding me in the air much longer than I expected. Slightly folding my sail I began to lose a little lift. I gradually landed at the vase of the mountain. After folding and packing my sail I began to search for food. The animals that lived here were much larger than the ones back on Asliagia. The bird began to squawk; quickly I pulled the bird from within my jacket. The bird looked at the white snow and then flapped is wings and in a quick burst of power it flew into the sky to the gradually land and perch itself upon my shoulder. Peering at the bird a thought then exploded into my mind; this bird could use a name” what should I call you?” I asked the bird, who was fluffing its feathers at the moment. A humming sound was clearly heard inside my head, the humming then started to form word, until finally a clear word was distinct.
“Shariaka.”

A calm wind blew my hair to become a pest for it got into my eyes. I reached half way to the summit by noon. I was ahead of schedule and I had time to hunt I then setup my camp to prepare for drying meat. I grabbed my bow and quiver and caught sight of some rabbit tracks. I followed them for about and hour till I reached a den. Mounting myself upon the top of the rabbit den I strung an arrow from my quiver and waited. The sun came out and cast my shadow on the den’s mouth. I instantly stepped aside and waited. A small nose pushed itself from the mouth of the den. A head along with a body appeared out of the den. I then ended the animal’s life. Walking back to my hut I heard a whistle sound in my head. A strong image popped into my head, I was high above a pine tree. I was soaring threw the sky till I saw my figure standing there, I snapped to reality to notice Shariaka landing on a snow covered tree’s branch. The snow began to fall and dance with the wind. I made it back to camp when the beginning pf a blizzard began. This was very bad for I knew that I would have to walk in the snow that was already knee deep. I wrapped self in my warmest furs and packed my belongings and battled the fierce wind with iced over snow. I started on a new peregrination to reach the top of the mountain and do this by twelve o’clock, midnight. I traveled for several hours to reach half way on the mountain the tree line was going to end in about twenty feet. This is bad for beyond the tree line the wind would howl and quicken its pave. At eleven forty five I reached the peak of the mountain. No wind stirred the air. Where was the wind I predicted?
