Jackson's Foot Out of Sync
From People.com: Good news and bad news for Michael Jackson. First, the good: 'N Sync will pay homage to him when Jackson, 42, is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 19, a rep for the boy band confirmed Tuesday. Other inductees into the hall include Paul Simon, Aerosmith, Queen and the recent Grammy-winning group Steely Dan. And now the bad: Jackson broke his right foot. Yes, said his publicist, he fell at his California ranch, Neverland, and is resting at home with a cast that goes up to his knee. "He is fine," the rep told the New York Post. "He's doing well." In a statement, the Moonwalker (well, not in his current condition) said that he still intends to make a scheduled March 6 appearance at England's Oxford University Union on behalf of his children's aid foundation Heal the Kids. "I am determined to speak," Jackson said. "The message of Heal the Kids is far too important to me to allow a broken foot to keep me from this commitment." More than 20,000 tickets to hear him have reportedly been sold, reputedly a record in the 178-year history of the Union.
