We can't get enough of *NSYNC! They're hot, they've got fantastic voices and their dance moves kick! Ooh, and we say they're hot? J-14 gives you an exclusive (and very revealing) interview with these great guys!
Justin on dating
JC on love
Lance on music
Chris on girls
Joey on dreams
J-14: Justin, we know your crazy schedule doesn't let you date much. But when you get the time, what would be your dream date?
Justin: I like doing spontaneous things -but it's kinda hard to do that on a first date with somebody because they don't really know you yet. They don't know what to expect. If I was to say to somebody, "Hey, I want to take you out on a date," and I take them skydiving, they might think...(Justin laughs)...this guy is weird or something.
J-14: So you'd take a girl skydiving on a date?
Justin: Sure, why not? It sounds like fun! Why not do something like that? The kind of ideas I come up with are spur moment, but they're not all wild. I also like having a quiet dinner at an Italian restaurant. A good conversation is cool to me. Then I can get to know the girl.
J-14: Do you ever have problems finding the right girl?
JC: I'm working on it every day, trying to find the right date. It's hard to find a decent relationship right now. I'm trying to look around and use my best judgment about character and meet somebody.
J-14: Would you ever date a fan?
JC: It would depend on her approach.
J-14: What works or what doesn't work?
JC: I don't want someone who's not interested in me as a person, who's just interested in seeing me jump around on stage. I want someone who wants to get to know me. She has to be very open, because I don't have time to play games. She has to be honest, sincere -and willing to laugh.
J-14: What do you really hope fans get from your music?
Lance: Basically, we want them to be able to relate to out music and have a good time. Fans tell us that a lot of our songs apply to their personal lives. Like "God must have spent a little more time on you" was a song that many girls could identify with. They felt that it fit their relationships with their parents or people they've lost or known. That's a good feeling.
J-14: What exactly is it about a girl that grabs your attention?
Chris: It's the little character traits that make up her personality that I really notice first. That's what's really important about someone... 'cause there are a lot of beautiful girls who are stupid, boring or annoying to be around. It's so much better when a girl has great personality, because then no matter what she looks like, I just want to be with her. Lots of times, a girl's personality changes her looks all together, and if she is fun to be around, then I'm more attracted to her.
J-14: How do you make your dreams come true?
Joey: Practice, practice, practice. Never give up. Fine-tune your craft.
J-14: What are some of the things that really bother you?
Joey: Nothing really bothers me, except for fake people. A lot of people don't act like they really are. They pretend.
J-14: Who do you turn to in the group if you have fears or a problem?
Joey: JC is a deep thinker, so if it was real serious, like a girl problem, I'd ask him. Lance for business stuff, Chris for practical jokes. Justin if I needed him to pretend he was in my shoes.
J-14: What important lesson have your parents taught you?
Joey: If there's something I want, go after it and never give up.
The boys 'fess up:
Justin: "I've always dreamed of playing in he NBA, but I think I'm way too short."
JC: "I think that everything should have its place and should run smoothly and on time. I'm very puctual."
Lance: "I was a hyper kid. I was very sociable. I loved playing with my friends. I had a normal upbringing."
Chris: "My most prized possession is my Bruce Lee autograph."
Joey: "The best gift I've ever gotton was a Superman sweater that a fan made for me. It took her like two months to make. I still have it."
