background
Imagine an official healing Community Etiquette to define our healing community as a haven from takerism/domination. Since Americans mostly know takerism, we must make an extra effort to live without being part of the oppression, and also to not be a victim of it.

Right now, there is a lot of catch-up going on for this homepage, and a lot of already typed infomation is not online yet. What would really be appreciated is if you can make suggestions what you've noticed should be done to make this page more complete. Please submit links and papers defining what we need from healing communities! return home

Skiing as a healing activity

When I was young, I thought of skiing as a rich people sport, and I was decidedly working class, saving every dime. But then my friends had a group ski trip, and I learned that weekday night skiing was only $5! I was hooked real soon. Once you feel safe, skiing is very psychologically empowering activity. It is how I learned to focus the force. After witnessing the power of the force, I was stunned. I thought it was just the beginning.

But after reading Celestine Prophecy, I understood why skiing is so powerful. The mountaintops, the old growth forest, working with gravity, the independence, and the lack of negative stimuli. These all contribute to the psychic health benefit of downhill skiing. The high speeds help allow multiple stimuli to overcome resistance, so that the relxed skier can really connect with the force.

The Shasta Ski co-op should be organized as a healing community!

There are many people trying to survive the drama of modern taker society, and what is really needed is a place that is safe, where visotors to the community can rebuild whatever strength is necessary.

More input making this page is very much appreciated. For example, it would like to have more information available about healing resources online. If you want to contribute, just go to "open links" and type it in, to be seen by everyone who comes after you. If you have documents or ideas to contribute, please use the message board. For on ongoing forum/networking with anyone else who sees this page, the guestbook could work.

(If there is a website that already has a healing community forum, please recommend it!)

I am trying to put together a document list of ideas, which could be called the "Leaver Healing Community Etiquette. To feel safe, healers need a place that is very secure from any conflicts, domination, violence, takerism, etc. Some healing sommunities or healing workshops may have their own standards, but some people really need a printed summary of dangerous behaviors.

"It should be" that everyone is naturally a healer in everyday behavior, so everyone could just do whatever they felt like and it would be fine. But taker domination has taken its toll. Those of us accustomed to taker society may not recognize occasional dominator behavior, even participating ourselves in behavior that leavers and other peaceful & spiritual people might find very tramatic. return home

How do you define a healing community?

When visualizing a "healing community," many people know what it is, and don't need it written down, or would even prefer not to have written rules. Since this is on online forum, organizing via html, we are limited because ESP doesn't work online. We are limited to what can be written down and shared publicly.

The Healing community etiquete forum is here. In seconds you can add your input. You may post ideas, questions, or complete proposals for your vision of a healing community. Please recommend good online resources for us also!
