GIFT FROM THE HEART

Recently, I just read an article in the Parents magazine (December 2001) on "Gifts from the Heart". It appealed to everyone to donate some money to charitable organisations. So, I decided to send this letter via email to people on the net. I hope that this attempt of posting this on my website will also help to spread love and joy to others. Please do read this and visit http://www.parents.com/articles/family_time/4246.jsp Thank you!

In my letter, this is what I wrote:

Hello. I am a teenage girl from Singapore and I just came across an article in the Parents Magazine (Dec 2001) on "Gifts from the Heart". As I had visited your website earlier on, I believe that you are a person filled with love and kindness to others.

As Christmas is nearing, I would like to appeal to you to donate a small sum of money to a charitable organisation and to brighten the lives of others. Christmas is a time for giving and sharing, and a magical moment to spend with your family and friends. I urge you not to forget the poor, needy and suffering who are not as fortunate as you and I are.

Although this is only a small attempt to spread hope and love to the lives of others, I hope that you will help in doing this good deed and that you will pass this letter on to others you know and love. Just as a tiny stone thrown into a lake can bring many ripples that will spread far and wide, your little deed will help spread joy and happiness to others too. Please pass this on.

For more information on charitable organisations, please visit http://www.parents.com/articles/family_time/4246.jsp

I thank you for taking the time to read this, and wish you a wonderful Christmas season.

Yours truly,

A girl who strongly believes that every little deed counts

30 November 2001

Even if you did not receive this letter, I hope that you will consider donating some money to a charitable organisation and I hope that you will recommend this page to all your friends to see. I really wish that this will help those less fortunate in some way. Merry Christmas!

P.S: I am in no way related to any of the charities, I am just doing this as a personal attempt to spread joy and love to others this Christmas.
