This show seriously attacked my Agnostic Religious beliefs...

But yea... there was this program on the Science Channel exploring the Human Brain and how it works. Well, it started off by explaining what parts of the Brain do what and what Chemicals are produced between the Synapse. Well, after that they tested some people who were religious. It turned out that when these people feel religious or spiritual there is an excess of Dopamine in the lower posterior of the Lymbic System. This happened in almost every case. So Science has successfully mapped the Origins of a Religious feeling.

So, this brought up the question to me;
If Sci has pin-pointed the Origin of Religious Feelings, then how can we prove that there is a God, Goddess or Both controlling or Manipulating our Feelings and emotions. Which then leads to questions of our subconscious mind and Death. If we have found God in our fleshy tissue as a made up being to make us feel better.

This then completely supports the Theory of Evolution. Our being is the creation of thousands of years of Chemicals being bashed into each other. Well... here arises my crisis... If we can depict the place where our Holy Feelings come from, then what happens when we die? No Chemical reactions so No Holy Feeling... just dead Just like so many before us who walked that path, we are turned into plant food and we just become non-existent... But even then, I believe that the Human Subconscious and Conscious Mind may have the will to overcome! There is 97% of our Brain that we do not use. Could our Mind use this area in such an inferior however dynamically complex piece of Cerebral Cortex to hide itself away. Possibly even create our Own Heaven from our life�s Experiences. This is what I have been thinking...
