Memories With Lance
Blake Moreland (Brother)
Lance, Eric and I would always go to the mall and places around it to "pick up chicks." I know it sounds kinda lame, but it worked if we had Lance with us... Its like, they knew he would be there cuz they would always be there... Now we go and have no luck whatsoever... We would go up there about every friday and saturday nights on the weekends in the summer... It was the highlight of our weekends... lol I had so much fun with Lance. He was more of a best friend than a brother... It's like we would do everything together and you don't see that too often with brother 5 years in age. Mom and Lance, I will see you again. I love you both.

A couple of nights ago I had a dream about Lance. <dream> Meil and I were out at his Dad's house and Lance was there with us. And he was fine. We were all laughing and joking around and I remember Lance kept telling me that he was OK. And that is what sticks out the most from that dream, that he was telling me not to worry about him and he seemed happy and care-free. So that was my dream. I thought about sharing it on Lance's site but was not sure if I should or not. I told (little) Neil about my dream. It seemed to make him feel better.

I remember a few years ago, Neil and I took the kids fishing. It was up north of Dayton. It was a big pay lake. We had all been fishing for a while. The older boys went to different spots on their own. Lot of people there. All of a sudden we hear people saying "look at that kids fish!" "I can't believe he caught that!" and "I've been fishing here all day and havn't caught near that size!" Well some people were really pissed. We looked over and here comes Lance with the biggest fish! He had a big grin on his face. He said it took him over an hour to reel it in. We couldn't believe it. We weighed it when we got home ... it weighed 26 lbs.!!!!! I just remember how proud he was and how proud we were of him. He always caught all the fish ... wherever we went! He was a helluva fisherman. (it used to piss Blake off really bad ... hahaha)

I remember a story Peggy once told me about Lance. Before Lance was born, my brother Benny would bully all the kids. Of course, Benny was just a baby himself, but he would push me, Angie and little Neil down and make us cry. When Lance was old enough to stand, Benny tried to push him down. Lance didn't budge. He just pushed back. Benny never tried to bully him again. When Peggy told me this story I could tell how proud she was of him. I could see it in her eyes. I miss them both very much.

It was Blake's 15th birthday so I took him to Stouffer's Restaurant. This Place is like a 4 star restaurant that sits atop one of Daytons tallest buildings. Lance came with us. after we were al full, Lance took a pea and flipped it into Balkes water using his spoon. Before you knew it we were having our own food fight right there. I don't remember if we got kicked out or not but ... I know they won't be reusing that tablecloth.
