7th Grade (and the rest of my life for that matter) would have been a bunch of trivial bullshit if it werent for the teachings of this guy. He reopened me to what real music is, guiding my ears to the likes of Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and my favorite at the time Nirvana. This was only the beginning of my undersanding of the kid. Not only did he have a good taste for music, but also had a fucked, poverty striken homelife. Having a brother two years older than him with a clashing personality, an alcoholic mom who was mentally insane to the "666" degree, an army brat step-father, and a bio(un)logical father who ran out on him when he was three years old without as much as a clue left behind and the vapor trails that were fused to his back was something quite harsh to put onto a 13 yearold. As we became almost brothers, he (as I) was faced with life to its fullest degree, forcing him out of adolecence and childhood straight into adulthood. Having a natural born talent for guitar playing, Jaik picked up a Mark II in 8th grade so we could start a band. He accelerated and mastered skills in a third of the time that was normal, and with an ever glowing love for music, it took our music project much farther than we ever could've imagined. A big influence to his face melting riffs, I think, came from the rage filled by his egg doner/legal gardian he used to call mom. The situation of his mother is so deranged and unlogical that words couldnt describe what went on in the two bedroom apartment, as well as in her head, fueling his guitar addiction. Forced out of his home so that his mom could "theoretically" collect more money from our dickless government at 16, he moved in with me. As we get closer to 18, things get better and better everyday.
