A lengthy divorce and custody dispute leaves the young daughter traumatized, and she begins to act out. After an adolescence spent in and out of 'Juvie', she will hold up a liquor store.

The clerk at the store is so unnerved by the experience that she finds herself unable to return to work. It becomes harder and harder for her to leave the house. Soon, she stops going out altogether.
