No BINGO THIS MONTH.  The club had a scholastic excellency/school neatness/thank-a-teacher awards program on June 5th.  It was a huge success!.  **~20 total service hours**.  $50 for materials and fuel.

   Description:  Continue to work with our sponsored Boy Scout Troop 721 and newly formed Scouting Venture Club.  Six (6) Kiwanis members are involved either through leadership and/or guidance.  Members participated in two regular meetings **calculation: 4 people x 2 meetings x 1.5 hours = 12 total hours** $50 for materials/fuel.  Scouts wen camping and hiked the catoctin trail **calculation: 4 people x 50 hours = 200 total hours** $100 for materials/fuel.  Scouting Venture Club - **calculation: 3 people x 1 meeting x 2 hours = 6 total hours** $25 for materials/fuel.

   Description:  The Meade High School and Old Mill High School Key Clubs continue to be very active in the community.  Two Kiwanis members are involved with the Key Clubs and regularly attend meetings (the Meade KC advisor, Bobbi Coffman, is an honorary Kiwanis member). Old Mill participated in the American Cancer Society relay for life on the 24th and have raised money for the effort.  Both Key clubs continue to help out at the monthly BINGO at Knollwood Nursing home (though no BINGO this month).  The regular school year ended in June, so no meetings were held.  Although we may not catch everything the Key Clubbers are doing, they are active and will continue to be active throughout the summer.

Administrative and Fund Raising Activities

Report:  The club held its annual MARC Train 5-Miler fundraiser on June 24th and nearly 100 runners/walkers participated.  We are also planning a Community Yard Sale on Sat. July 8th at the Kiwanis Community Center from 8-1 PM.
