Science
Science is  a valuable part of our Kindergarten program. Science is not taught with a book, but as a hands-on program. Five year old must touch and feel to learn important science ideas. Our science table starts with our hamster that we named Sleepy.

We are learning about colors. Cambria is seeing shades of red.

Noah is observing red things that our class has shared.

We spent a week studying apples. Each child brought in an apple. We explored the insides and outsides. We tasted different colored apples to see if they tasted the same. We cooked apples and made applesauce.  Look at the beautiful display we had.

While studying leaves this fall, we learned to look carefully at the  leaves. You can also see some leaves the children and I collected. We sorted leaves on our paper by finding the wide and the narrow ones.

While studying the 5 senses, we spent a week on the sound the the sense of sight. Here are some of the things we listened to. All sound comes from vibrations. We could feel the vibration on the bird with the squiggly lines especially when it was struck on something.
