Art

Art is an important part of our Kindergarten program. Some children can express themselves better and more creatively with art. The process also helps children improve their fine motor control whether cutting paper, painting, or applying glue. In Kindergarten, the process is always more important than the finished product. We give the  children many different ways to express themselves during the year. Sometimes the project ties in with our theme. Sometimes it ties in with the season on the year. Other times, it is just a fun and beautiful way to express themselves.

We have been talking about ourselves, so we sponge painted pictures of ourselves.

For the new year, the children enjoyed putting different collage materials on paper to make a fireworks picture.

The children are finger painting with Jell-O. It smells great and has a nice gritty texture. But the best part for Kindergartners is you can lick your fingers!
