At SOS, Greenlee notices that Roger is looking at Mateo. She asks him if he owes him money, and Roger tells her no. Greenlee looks at Roger's wrist and notices that it's bandaged. Roger remembers the night where he was in the park and Mateo grabbed his wrist. We then find out that Roger is the go-between for Mateo and Proteus.

Mateo and Simone are arguing over whether or not to tell Hayley about Proteus when Mateo's phone rings. It's Proteus asking for the first exchange of laundered money.

Mateo hangs up, completely disgusted. Chris Stamp walks in just then and apologizes for being late and Mateo wonders if Chris could be Proteus.

Mateo's phone rings again and Proteus reminds him that the first payment is due. Mateo tells him that he refuses to do anything until they meet in person.

Mateo gets ready for the meeting, taking a gun from the safe. He recieves another call telling him to go to the alley.

Mateo goes to the alley clutching his gun, while Roger hides in the shadows.
