Graeme Draper From the Clown Series This month's hosted is Graeme Draper, a Queensland artist hailing from the Atherton Tablelands. A self-taught artist he loves Favuavist and Niave artwork in general. He has recently had exhibitions in Atherton and Cairns as well as providing artwork on commision for a local restaraunt. We should mention now that Graeme does not take commissions normally because he feels that people never really get what they're expecting when they commission an artwork.

An Abstract Piece While he is a member of the Atherton Art society, though when he first signed up Graeme prefered to spend his time at the meetings gazing out the window drawing the gardens. These drawings became the basis of his first exhibited series. He loves to paint scenery ranging from lush forests to rolling hills, the inspiration for which can be found around his home on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands.

Another from the Clown Series Graeme uses a wide variety of mediums from pen and ink to watercolour pencils to acrylic paints to create his artworks. His art almost always features bright colours (the main exception being his Apocolypse series, not shown here.). Unfortunately none of the paintings displayed here are for sale (they're all from private collections) though Graeme almost always has a selection of paintings for sale at his exhibitions, prices currently ranging from $300 to $700.

As special treat we also have this wonderful piece entitled "The Meeting In The Forest" avaliable to you in extra large sizes (suitable for desktop wallpaper.). If you like this one then you should try playing Who Wants To Be An Artist for the chance to win another one.
