Intro:
My father woke me up somewhere around 7:30 and told me that he was going to take my brother and me to Shea Stadium to see the the Mets play against the Padres on Opening Day.  I felt like the happiest person in the world.  We went to my dad's work and stayed there until 1:00.  Then we drove to Shea Stadium. On the way, we had to pass a polluted neighborhood where people were trying to sell bootleg stuff.  When we got to Shea, our seats were high, but good enough to tell who the players were.  Almost all of the game I was watching Mike Piazza, because he is my most favorite baseball player, along with Rey Ordonez and the other Mets.

Game Information:
In the 2nd inning, Ryan Klesko from the San Diego Padres hit a home run.  In the 7th inning, a bunch of Mets Players (I think Mike Piazza, Rickey Henderson and someone else) got around the bases and scored 1 run.  Then in the 8th inning, Derek Bell, who was originally from the Houston Astros, but got traded to the Mets, hit his first home run yet with the Mets.  Also, in the 7th inning, Mike Piazza threw out someone trying to steal a base.  In one inning (I am not sure which one), one of the Padres made a sacrifice bunt which sent a guy to 2nd base.  In another inning, Todd Zeile hit a double and in a different inning, the Padres did a double play.
(And I f you were wondering, I tried, but did not catch any baseballs)
