As usual today started with the forsaken buzzing sound sent straight from the fiery depths of that place not to be named, and soon followed with the sound of my middle finger delicately and poetically rising from the covered sheets of my bed. If that was too zen for you, then it was a wordy way of saying "I hate my alarm clock." - Just a funny little thought . . . Today I ate some "Zen Party Mix." What distinguishes something as "Zen" when it's a food, and a party mix even? - I'm still fighting this head cold - I feel as though my head weighs a good five pounds heavier, not to mention my poor eye lids willingly closing themselves at the worst of times. Despite the overwhelming tiredness and my insatiable need for sleep, today was industrious none the less. I finished my drafting final to its extent, however the weight of the final is left on whether or not the roulette wheel portion of my group finishes theirs. I've been studying for other finals at will and leisure, mainly because I don't think finals week should be an incredibly stressful experience. When one says they need to "study for finals", what they're then communicating is that they didn't study beforehand. What I'm doing, and what most other people and students especially are in fact doing, is reviewing the things that have become nebulous in their minds. I managed to obtain more information as to my English final on Wednesday. We'll be given three quotes: one quote from Catcher in the Rye, one quote from Lord of the Flies, and one quote from Siddhartha. After reviewing the selected quotes, we will be required to choose one of the three and write an essay for the next two hours on that quote. After that final, I will be taking my 100 problem Spanish quiz, which is worth roughly 18% of our grades. The funny thing about the final is that if I don't score higher than a 105.4%, my grade will be lowered due to the fact that 105.4% is my current grade in that class. I could get less than half of the questions correct and still have a solid A grade. Speaking of interesting facts, I was speaking to my Spanish friend whom I (in a friendly manner) call "Diccionario" (which means Dictionary). He told me in that in México they don't have As, Bs, Cs, Ds, and Fs - instead they have 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5. That system made a lot more sense to me - possibly because I think with both the left and right side of my brain, or even possibly because I think grades are similar to percents (in that they are letters that represent numbers). I've decided to go back to playing all Terran in the Brood War realm again. I've found that Terran is the most fun for me to play for several reasons: 1) Most people agree that terran is the most difficult race to play
successfully This however, is not the first time that I've played all Terran . . . I did so for six months and got quite talented with them . . . I find them the only appealing race. For those of you who know words very well, "Terran" means "Human". I took a vocabulary test today. I didn't even need to study. I want to go do things - study - play - have fun. I'm a teenager, time to go be one. Take care my friends.
