Entry Seventy-Five -

Bass, Kick, Bass, Piano, Go Go Go!

Wow, what an eventful day. As planned, I met with the majority of my band today, Adam couldn't come because of Christmas obligations or something like that. Hey all, it's almost Christmas Eve! Just think, I'll probably be up and awake at midnight, playing with my friends in some game by some company that nobody cares about (smile).

Well . . . let me start with the beginning, because the beginning is always a fun place to start. After my prolonged rising process I gathered my strength and managed to cloth myself and scrounge for food. I remembered that my mom had a client for one of her business deals in the house, so I made sure to clothe myself rather than do the typical Bob thing: walk half naked into the kitchen and pour some Honey Nut Cherrios and be gone.

I called my band members and confirmed that we were going to practice today, except that I didn't call Jessica because she said she'd call me when she got up. When I called Adam his mom, Ana, (she's a real sweetie so I don't hold these sort of things against her, and I understand the importance of family), said that Adam couldn't come today because he had family obligations. What a family guy - straight up Adam.

So, around 10:20 I loaded the synth up into the car (and the amp), and took off for the church to play me some funky music. I was upset that Jessi hadn't called, but everything turned out fine because when I jogged back over to the house to get my stereo (so we could have some music to get started with) she had left a message saying she'd be right over.

James is a really good hard-rock drummer, but he's new to the genre of electronica. Due to this, I brought over some European techno CDs and had him imitate the bass-kick-bass-kick-cymbals style of it all. I figured Jessi would want something to base her bass off of, so I had written her a bass line last night, and she did her best to follow it. It seemed like it all worked out well, because by the end of practice we were playing fairly well together, and this was only the first one!

I need to write some more music other than the one song I have, but the one song I do have is like a 5 minute symphony, so I like it very much. I'm going to be a great synth player one day, I can feel it. I'm going to spend some money and buy a seriously awesome synthesizer in January, when they're on sale.

I want to take a shower, it has been a long day . . . we didn't even eat dinner till 9:30 P.M. tonight, so as you can imagine I'm writing late tonight.

I bought a really neat looking candle and burned some music for my brother and his girlfriend/fiance/something like that named Michelle, and I hope they like it. I got some other gifts but they're all for people who read this journal so I can't spill the news before the big day, which isn't far away.

It was funny, I was talking to my friend Yang and he wished me Merry Christmas, but I reminded him of the time differences. He got a job working for a travel agency in Korea, and I told him I was extremely proud of him, because jobs in Korea are very hard to find sometimes. Also, I'm helping him with his English a little because he is going to take the TOPEIC (an English proficiency exam in Korea). He is helping me with some handy phrases in Korean too :). I told him I'd write him a letter, so I should do that soon.

Cristy is a really thoughtful person, she bought my mom and I gifts for Christmas. My friend Yang is very thoughtful as well. Damn, I have some really awesome friends.

Speaking of friends, I love my Clan ~SC~ . . . We're getting to be so strong! So many people appreciate me! It's great.

Take care my friends. Christmas is in the air, I can feel it.
