Entry Sixty-Three -

Short-Haired Santa

Hey, two weeks till the 25th, the long awaited Christmas day, when I spew out gifts to all my relatives and close friends. I wore my good ol' Santa hat to school today, I love that thing - it's got that comfortable and warm white fur on the outsides, and the cool felty-red color. Love the things . . .

Anyway, today was a pretty good day, but I am loaded down with homework. I went to bed early last night and got a bit more sleep, although I'm still tired; not like that's a wonder in the world. My friend Ramón told me that I'm almost "bilingüe", which means bilingual, but I know I'm far from it because I have trouble phrasing certain things. For example, I sincerely doubt that I could rephrase this paragraph in Spanish without at least a little translation aid, because it's wordy in English, and that'd take being "wordy in Spanish" for at least a good number of years. Thinking that I'll move into linguistic studies, I'd probably learn German, Japanese, Spanish, and stay very fluent in English because my guess is that the population of America will become very much bilingual in Spanish, at least in the southwest and southeast portions of the country, and the other countries I mentioned are all very economically successful.

I got my hair cut today after school - shorter, but spiked once again. This is the last time I'm going to use this hair cut though, at least for now, because I want to find a new hair style. My problem is I have a part in a really awkward place above my right eye, so that if I want to do anything with my hair it takes force and my hair resists me. It's frustrating, but it's fun to talk about.

Anyway, my band will be having its first practice this Friday after school, so wish us luck and tell us to have fun.

I still can't wait to go swing dancing, well, I can, and I'm going to.

Just thinking of random things . . . I'll probably go to the weight room after school tomorrow providing I don't have something that I'm already obligated to on the calendar. I made a 3-Dimensional grocery crate in the 80 minutes of drafting today - it made me feel special, only that I didn't do the handles and the lights look kind of wrong. I'll play with it on Friday when I have the class again.

I've been listening to Euro-Techno and Swing . . .

Complementing one's friends is seriously important. I realized that when I received an amazing complement last night (after I'd written my journal entry). Someone, who is to remain anonymous *cough(Merlin)cough*, told me something that made me feel very good yesterday. He said, "You play the synth, you play video games, and you're incredibly smart. Dude, you're the 9th wonder of the world." Those weren't his exact words, but still yet, the concept and thought was what made me feel so good.

I haven't played Starcraft in around 4 or 5 days, which is a lot since I've had a current streak. Perhaps if I finish my heap of homework I'll get around to playing a game or two with some friends. Right now I'm occupied with talking to my hundred plus person buddy list on instant messenger though, because I consider it important to relax after school, and not just immediately fry one's mind. Although, I have been writing for awhile, and it's probably a good idea to get to work.

Tomorrow, after the gym, I'm going to be talking about repetitive mistakes - how a fool is attracted to the same folly time and time again, so it's probably going to be an entry worth reading. When I finish my opinionated essay for English on whether or not free speech exists, I'm most certainly going to upload it onto this site, because I think that it fits very well - I've got a lot of very blatant opinions here, and whether or not those opinions are seen as appropriate in the eyes of the state is certainly on topic.

Take care my friends!
