Well, today certainly was energetic. Started out the day with some nice manual labor outside - Who's to object though, it was absolutely perfect all day. Started out the day a bit bummed about something which I shouldn't go into considering it's extremely possible the person could read this and then have some sort of emotional breakdown, so yeah, I was bummed and then I was put into a great mood because my friend (who is the equivalent of a guardian angel now) said something that really perked me up. So, thanks a ton for saying it friend. This was all still the beginning of the day though, there's so much more to tell. My mom left for somewhere sometime early in the day, shopping probably, but I stayed home and raked all the leaves in my backyard and figured out what I was going to do for the rest of the day. My friend Adam called around 12:00 and he came over to help me install OS X.2, considering he's probably the County's youngest Mac Expert. Great friend to have. Anyhow, I got my computer to optimum performance, so now this "fish tank" of an iMac is set to live for a few more years. If any of you were wondering, I name almost all my electronic stuff, like my last computer was "mini-Bob" because he could do ALMOST everything I could do when it comes to electronic functions, and my current one is "The Techno Dragon", considering I love dragons and I've swamped this poor thing's hard drive with about 500 or so techno tracks. God I love techno. I'm actually getting better at liquid too, but I'm always pretty modest about my abilities in public, so I'm not much of an extrovert when it comes to that sort of thing. By the time my hard drive had finished updating, it was around 4:45, and we had been invited to go to a party in S.F. for a relative's birthday. So, 90 minute drive in rush hour traffic - not bad. It was so much fun, even though everyone was older than me. I was pretty surprised, I got a lot of compliments about how old I look, and how "good" I look, did wonders for my self-esteem it did. But that's not what's important about the party. The important thing was that my relative had a great time, and I'm just about positive that he did. We had a wonderful dinner at a fancy club, and I had a great time talking to relatives and friends, so yeah, AWESOME! The night only gets better though, that wasn't it. We left around 12:00, keep in mind it's still a 90 minute drive home. I'm a night owl, I wasn't really tired. I just sat around and talked with my parents. Great people. Sure, we get mad at each other on occasion, but when you're down, there's nothing to cheer you up like the two people that love you the most. Just think, I'm a combination of the two of them, and with parents as great as them . . . hey, I must be special! (Heh, kidding, I think of myself higher than that, but I often joke about it as you'll probably see). Listen though, this is where it gets cool. A few of you are probably wondering about my title up there, The Gravity of Fate. Allow me to explain. Last night, on the drive home, while talking to my mom, I asked her a little bit about astrology. I learned she had an Astrology major or something like that - kind of funny that she'd never told me or said a thing about it before, but now that I'm interested I guess she thought it's a good time to talk about it. She told me that I can go get my sign read next weekend or what not, but to keep in mind, "People always have a choice, nothing is set in stone." That's not a direct quote, but trust me, it really eased my tension to hear a lot of it's mumbo jumbo from someone I can count on. Some times people can give you a spooky/accurate reading, and it creeps the be Jesus out of you! But moving on, she proved it by telling my a little story, which I'm going to tell you. Many years ago, 26 if you want to get picky, my Step-Grandmother Liz insisted that if my parents were to get married, that they have their astrological charts compared for compatibility. Guess what? My parents were "supposed to have divorced" about 23 years ago. That's funny, they're probably the most loving and active couple I've EVER SEEN! Another interesting idea. My mom told me that when she was a full time teacher, she'd collect the birth dates of all the kids in her class before school was really going and people got to know each other. She'd arrange the desks to compatible astrological signs, and she told me she NEVER had a problem with kid's fighting while she taught. Interesting. Very intriguing. I'm one of those people who has an extremely high Id rating, and my mind is always asking, "Bob, how can you use this?" "Where's the big break Bob?" I wonder if this idea hasn't already been investigated. If not, the future holds potential business. My latest goal: To stop saying the word "like" unless in terms of a simile or metaphor. It's annoying when I hear someone say it more than once in a simple thought, so I shouldn't do it to other people either. Latest site updates: I'm going to make some fancy buttons on the "basic navigation bar", and I'll probably put a copy of the astrology reading I get from the astrologer as soon as possible. "Are we compatible, what's your sign?" - Remember the story of my parents. Loving couple.
