Exhausted should be one of those four-letter forbidden phrases. I should be forbidden from being exhausted. This morning started out kind of funny. God played some sort of Jedi mind trick on me and I woke up at 6:08, around 30 seconds before my alarm went blazing off. This morning sucked, but it was also full of accomplishment. For one, I came upon the full discovery that what happened to my back due to the medication was a chemical burn, because I woke up in extreme burning agony for the second morning in a row. Besides that burning agony, I was dandy for the rest of the day. Actually, I was, and am doing great. But back on topic - I had left my house a bit late this morning, at 7:07. I got to my stop, and came upon the realization, "Oh *censored for public protection*! I forgot to bring my candy for Spanish class!" - we were going to have some sort of Fiesta today. So, with my backpack on, I sprinted all the way home. My bus stop is a quarter mile from a house, and I ran back into the house at 7:12. I grabbed both bags of Twizzlers (mentioned yesterday), and sprinted as fast as I could with the 20 lb. scales of justice (my backpack) holding me down. I was on the bus just below 7:14. I'm thinking about trying out for cross-country next year. I run a six minute mile right now, and I've never done any sort of running or conditioning at all, so I'm assuming with conditioning I could get far better. Maybe I'll start running miles after school to train myself. Or not. Depends on what I'm thinking at the time. Music really does keep one going. I just realized I've been unconsciously tapping my feet for who knows how long. Right now I'm listening to a techno remix of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, it really is a pretty neat track. Speaking of neat . . . let me tell you about school today. First period drafting was great until I figured out I'd done an entire portion of the church wrong, so I had to start that section over. It was pretty frustrating because I felt like I'd wasted "precious" time. Well, I learned from the mistake at least, so it's never going to happen again. Third period (this is a Wednesday so we have all odd classes), was Spanish. Another small frustration was that I learned I didn't even need the candy today because so many people forgot to bring whatever they were supposed to bring. I was one of the few to actually remember, so the party got postponed till Friday. We have a quiz on Friday as well. That's another thing about my life, it seems like I'm always being tested. Fifth period was Algebra II, guess what, I was being tested. This was a really good test though, I think it's going to be the best test I've taken all year in that class. Believe it or not, I was so ready, so enthusiastic, it was actually kind of fun. May sound odd, but if I'm waiting for something I don't want to do, and then it finally happens and it's gone, there's this sort of relief sigh that happens. It's amazing, I like it. Seventh period was Chemistry - I talked to Mr. Mucklin about my chemical burn - he recommended taking Vitamin E and cutting open the capsules and spreading it over the burned area I'll try that in awhile. He also said not to concentrate on it, and that aloe also helps. A lot of people have recommended Aloe to me though, and I've been using it for the past two days. It was cool, I saw an actual Aloe plant for the first time in Florida last summer. Then I found out that my mom grows it on the side of my house, hah. But the actual experiments we did in chemistry were fun too - we made slime, made stuff blow up, and dealt with deadly chemicals. Mini-lab days rock. I should get going and spend some time with my family and help them carve the pumpkin. We set up the annual Wilson graveyard this afternoon - we like to do it one day before Halloween so nobody gets to look at it and so we can change it every year. It's getting better and better each time. So, if you're walking through my town, and you come upon a graveyard with bodies and pumpkins on the sidewalk with pen drawn faces, say hey to my mom for me - maybe I'll be there, but I doubt it. I'm a Halloween fiend. For those of you who didn't know, it's also Celtic New Years, so CELEBRATE! Have a wonderful evening all.
