Entry Sixteen -

Smells Like the Swing, Looks Like Something

My oh my, I certainly am exhausted. Know what though? It was worth every second of it. Last night I decided I wasn't going to sleep hardly at all because I write a lot better when I'm either extremely tired or extremely depressed with the world, and in my happy-go-lucky mood I'd get distracted from my English test and write poorly.

So yeah, I made sure to tire myself out - which had some pluses, and some minuses. First of all, today was an "8 hour day" on the training grounds of the mighty high school. After school, I did decide to stay and lift weights. Good news though, I've worked up from 90 pound benching to 135 pound benching in just 4 weeks going to the gym. Rar, pumping power!?

After getting home from the gym, I discovered my computer had undergone a fatal error, and wouldn't even start. I had to boot up from the reinstall disk, and reinstall the entire OSX.2 operating system. It was a real drag to come home to, but I didn't let it bother me - only took two hours and I fixed it with hardly any help from anyone else. I'm usually pretty good with computer stuff, so it was a lot of fun to troubleshoot. While all that was going on, I did my math homework - with thanks to the help from a few comrades I understand now.

My Latest Goal: To learn how to whistle and flutter my tongue at the same time, and make it sound like a cricket

That was only the start of a wonderful evening though. I remember way back in 6th grade, being forced to learn the mysteries of "one, two, back step" - "left, right, back step" - those were the good old days. Well, tonight I did it voluntarily for the first time. Swing dancing is awesome. I really want to get to be talented at it - right now I'm pretty sucky, but I know I'm sucky so I have a good time being sucky. I'll keep every updated, every Friday night, because I'll be taking lessons and swing dancing every night. After about a year I'll probably be confident with my swingin'. By the way, the credit for me finally going swing dancing tonight goes to my friend Ruth - thanks for finally convincing me to do it, because I had a lot of fun.

This entry doesn't really have a lot of enthusiasm because as previously stated, I'm overtired, and I'm going to go get some rest. I'll elaborate some more tomorrow after work and before the super-cool Halloween party that I'm REALLY looking forward to going to!

I had this really interesting day dream amidst my tired mentality - what if really what I am, is a character that my true self is writing - in other words, I'm not really me, but a portrayal of me being dictated by myself in another state of being, in another form - I was writing my story on paper with a pen, and I was being created line by line . . . sometimes it feels like life works the same way.

Stay jolly, I certainly am. Tonight was SO much fun.
