Operation Relaxation

Today was a cool down day. There wasn't much work to be done that was punctual, so it felt like today was relaxing.

This morning, I fixed myself waffles, and then went to work for Chris down the street. She had some operation, so she was in pretty bad shape, and I helped her by stacking her wood neatly and bringing some extra wood inside so she wouldn't have to go outside in the mornings to stack it.

After coming home and soaking myself in a nice warm shower, I walked into my room and logged on battle.net with my school friends Matt and Ricky for the first time in what seems like three to four weeks. (Matt just got a cable modem - it seems like I'm one of the few of my friends who does not.) The break has been nice, and it seems that games like Starcraft are only fun with friends nowadays anyway, so I'll probably continue with my inactivity until further inspired. I talked with my Korean friends - Jun, Ji-Sun, and a new friend "Mode", but sadly Yang was not online. Mode destroyed me in a 1v1, taking advantage of my inactivity - it was a bit embarrassing and disappointing that I lost so badly, but Starcraft tickles my apathy.

I ate some celery and peanut butter, drank some root beer, played chess with my cousin, then took off on a wonderful two mile run. It felt good to be out there. Just thinking that I won't be running tomorrow feels weird - I've got into the habit of running on weekdays.

When I got home I played nice basketball in my yard and listened to music. Sadly, while my Dad was mowing the lawn, the lawnmower broke. That sucked, especially since he didn't get a chance to finish mowing the court, so I was playing in high ankle biting grass. Sucked for me. It was fun anyway though - and having the outside time and the ability to relax on the weekend was nice for a change.

I talked online for a little while. I got to know a kid on my track team "Orion" a bit better. I think he messaged me to mock me for a friend of his, but it turned out to be kind of cool talking to him. I'm surprised, he's good at leaving impressions on people. Seems like a nice person, maybe a future friend, not sure though - I don't really care either way - hopefully my apathy for it will let fate take its course. As for now, we're just teammates on the Track team.

My Mom was in the city all day today, and my brother was expected to come down. They both just got home, so I'm going to go do the social thing.

Take care all.
