This entry will be short because tonight I write in a sort of semi-haste. I have some things I would like to accomplish before 8:30 - it's only 8:00 right now. Today was certainly great. I wasn't able to do much, because I left at 10:30 A.M. and returned around 7:00. We just finished dinner, and I've been writing and listening to music for the last hour or so. My feet feel good. My lungs feel great. Allow me to explain. Today my mom took me shopping for shoes. Even better - she treated me to the shoes, I didn't pay anything. It was so thoughtful of her! Sometimes she can be so wonderful . . Anyway, the reason this is so exciting is that I really, really, really, really needed new shoes. I needed them so bad that the pinky toe on my left foot has been warped and crunched. I've been contemplating splinting it so that it will be normal again. The problem is, my left foot is a size 11, and my right foot is a size 12. It makes shoe shopping very annoying. I got a nice pair of Brunswick bowling shoes for dancing it. We're going to glue suede to the heel, which doesn't have suede like the front of the shoe - so I have a full sueded bowling shoe that I can dance with. I got some casual Vans (size 12) - so my left foot swims a bit but good old right-foot-man does a good job. The third pair of shoes I got (which I feel guilty about because they were pretty expensive), were running shoes. I went to fleet feet thinking we wouldn't spend hardly anything, but the prices were huge! At least on Bob standards :). So, they had me run in the shoes, and watched me run. It was pretty neat really! They saw how my feet moved, and said that I had a "neutral" run. I told them I didn't speak the language of "run" yet, and to define a "neutral run". They said my feet act normally, but that I have a slight twitch in my left foot due to the small size, and that I'd need to have a shoe with a lot of support so that my feet land properly and I don't cause them any damage. They're like doctors of feet, it was amazing. So, my feet feel good. I took the running shoes for a test spin. I ran the two mile trail! It felt good to get outside after being sick with that blasted cold for so long. My cardiovascular conditioning didn't seem to be working as well as it used to, but I still feel as though I ran well today. I thought of some names for my band. I like them, but I'll see what the members think about them too. Merlin is coming over to hang out tomorrow. I have a feeling we could get to be cool friends. Take care everyone, I'm off to go do stuff!
