Entry Ten -

Ten Bucks in Quarters and Happy Saturday

Today wasn't really anything that interesting, but it was eventful enough that I can rant about it. Started off waking up around 9:30. I love weekends. So, I slept in, and then my mom made me a nice breakfast, which was really awesome because I can't cook breakfasts very well and usually end up making egos, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, or the most common . . . Honey Nut Cheerios! So . . . moving on with the day.

Walked over to the church around 10 or 10:30, started cleaning it and what not. It was rather odd being in there after those dreams and such, but like I'm fond of saying, "I live in two worlds." There's the wonderful world of reality, and the fanciful world of my dreams, I spent 16 hours in the realm of science, and 8 in the realm of magic. That's just the way it goes I guess. The church got cleaned, and tomorrow I get paid for it.

I got home and neither of my parents were here - my dad was working today and my mom went to visit her mom in the city, so the house was all my own. I hopped on my bike, put the dog outside, and went for a nice 30 minute stroll. I came back because my CD player ran out of batteries. I ventured around my backyard for awhile, talked to a few friends on AOL, then jetted back off for a two hour bike ride, for a total of roughly 20 miles today. I love to ride my bike, something about it gives me this free feeling that really can't be attained by simply walking. Maybe it could be described as "floating with minuet effort."

When I finally got home the day was still young, but to be honest my legs were killing me, so I just sat on the piano bench and played for awhile. I managed to figure out the tune to "Resurrection" by DJ Photosynthesis - it's also the introduction to "Dance Factory" if any of you are avid techno / trace listeners like me. After I finished playing the piano I decided, "Time to go outside Bob, it's still sunny!" So . . . Bob went outside. Bob sat there and Bob pet his dog for around 30 minutes and gave her the equivalent of doggie heaven. (Third person writing skills have been demonstrated).

I went inside and watched some god ol' tube for awhile, then conked out till about 5:00 when my dad got home. I got up and played piano for awhile, and then thought about the plot for that story I'm going to right, and here it is.

Many years ago, at the start of man, Earth was a place of many magical creatures. Humans, elves, wizards, dragons, werewolves, and many other creatures that would fulfill most of our wildest imaginations. But as the race of humans advanced, science began to contradict magic, and the forces of mana became weaker and weaker. The four brothers - the wizards of light: of earth, of water, and of air, and the dark wizard of black magic separated from the realm of man, and created the realm of magic. They took all of the fable creatures in the minds of man today, and brought them to their realm to live in peace for all eternity, away from technology.

That's about where I am now, but I'm going incorporate some sort of dramatic catastrophe in the realm of magic - where a human is chosen carefully by the 3 wizards of light to stop darkness and what not, and then the human falls in love with a wizards daughter or something. It should be interesting, I'm basing it slightly on "The Flight of Dragons", which is my favorite movie. Of course my version is going to be a lot more "magical" and "technology" based.

Oh yes, my title - Ten dollars in quarters . . . Today amidst my boredom I scrounged around on my desk, cleaned it and such. I managed to find a whole ten dollars in quarters. My dad brought the bill home for me today so I don't have a pound of change. I feel so rich :). I have another 40 something quarters, but I like quarters around the house - they're handy for everything. Luck in a fountain - tracing small circular shapes onto paper - buying gum balls - giving a friend change - they're wonderful!

My moms cooking good food again, so I'm going to take advantage of that and relax for the rest of the night, maybe I'll go see a late night movie if anyone wants to though. Or perhaps call my friend for a late night stroll on the bikes, my legs are feeling rejuvenated.

Take care all!
