The majority of my experiences come from the development and marketing of thin client devices based on Windows NT 4.0 Embedded and Windows XP Embedded. In the late 1990's I worked with a company who led the market to introduce Windows NT 4.0 as a thin client operating system, promoting and developing thin client solutions which were previously not possible. At the end of the decade I began development of a new thin client with a new company. From the beginning, I designed this new product to meet with what I believed would be ground breaking performance characteristics so that future versions of Windows Embedded could be supported without migrating the hardware platform. That innovation has spurred the release of a high performance thin client by almost every major device manufacturer. Also during this time the company was the first thin client manufacturer to introduce Windows XP Embedded under my leadership.
In the summer of 2002 I began to work as an independent consultant to help organizations implement custom solutions based on Windows Embedded operating systems. My involvement in the development process starts early and ends late to ensure that my customers have the very best solutions possible.
I also am an active participant within the Windows Embedded community helping other developers to solve problems and understand how better to enable superior solutions. I actively follow and answer posts to Windows Embedded newsgroups, Email lists, online forums, and participate at conferences. I also will be soon announcing a release date for my new book which is a Windows XP Embedded developers guide.
