Treyman Ryland Maichen
Treyman is, by all definitions, insane.  He was driven mad by failure and greed.  Greed is something that was passed to all five of the Maichen sons by their father, who, aside from being a Knight, was also a bonafide treasure hunter.  When Treyman left his wife and only child, it was to hunt down a famous jeweled chalice rumoured to be within a dangerous and seemingly endless chain of caverns in the far South.  Ten years passed, and Treyman was left empty-handed.  All his other attempts at fortune failed miserably, as well.
Empty-handed and enraged, Treyman returned to his home in Haven, just to find that his brother, Eridon, was the wealthiest man in the city because of his diamond mines.  Treyman took a position of foreman in the mines, and was a trusted favourite of Eridon's family.  Jane adored him.  Little did any of them know, Treyman was skimming a bit off the top for himself.  When Eridon decided to leave Haven with his fortune, Treyman convinced him to leave the mines to him, determined to have more wealth.  However, it wasn't long before the mines collapsed, leaving Treyman with little.  On top of that, Treyman's abandoned eleven year-old daughter, Ashling, appeared at his door with the information that her mother had died three years previous.
The strain was too much for Treyman.  He snapped, and laid blame for his failures on his brother, Eridon.  Determined and furious, he molded his daughter into a ruthless warrior, and rounded up a crew of mercenaries, promising them great wealth.  He wrote his brother anonymous letters, demanding all the welath he had.  He warned of dire consequences.  Eridon dismissed the threats, and Treyman's mercenaries began small attacks on Meadowood and its surrounding area.  They snatched and murdered small children.  They burned homes.  They ravaged young girls.  They stole livestock.  Still Eridon would not yield, and kept the knowledge of the letters to himself.
Meadowood sent for Knights from the capital to flush out the scourge.  It seemed to work.  Treyman, however, received word of Jane's wedding, and decided it would be the perfect time to strike, so he called off attacks to make the legion believe they had been scared off.  The whole village would attend, guard would be down due to low activity.  It was then they would strike, distracting the people while looting the manor for the wealth.
It almost worked.  They killed many, however they were unable to recover the diamonds before the Knights arrived to retaliate.  Again, Treyman was forced to leave relatively empty-handed.  He was murdered soon after.
