Lord Eridon Maichen is a born noble, complete with the poise and commanding confidence that inspires people to follow his lead. He's a tall man at 6'3", with broad shoulders and heavy muscles. He's a skilled weapon smith, a fair hand with a sword, and an awesome shot with a crossbow. He's intelligent, a good mathematician, and his protectiveness of his family is unparalleled. He has dark blonde waves, and pleasant grey-green eyes. He loves his youngest daughter, Jane, unconditionally, though he often gets frustrated with her antics, and how she's always refusing to behave like a Lady. He gave her everything she ever wanted, trying his best to make her happy though he often failed. He was thrilled to find that Wesley and the fighting arts succeeded in bringing her happiness, and quite gladly gave his blessing to Wesley when he requested Jane's hand. He was devastated when her wedding was massacred, and readily took the blow that nearly severed his leg, but left him lame, for her life. He let her go when she needed to, too deep in grief for the loss of his unborn child to even think to beg her to stay.
He's a traditional man, and a fair man with strong ideals. He rarely lets anyone get away with anything, save his children. He has a soft, yielding spot in his heart for them. He can't resist their smiles, nor that of his wife. He's a firm believer in justice, but he has perhaps too much of an eye for gold, an unfortunate trait of the "Maichen Five". |
