Sonny's Penthouse: Carly:What did you say? Helena; You heard me. I'm your grandmother. Carly:Uncle Luke told me about you Cassadines. What are you tired of messing with the older generation of Spencers so now you've decided to move on to the younger generation. Helena:My dear, you remind me so much of myself when I was your age. We're going to get along just fabulously. I can feel it. Carly:I'm not buying this, so why don't you leave. Helena:What I'm telling you is true. I am your grandmother and I can prove it. Carly:You're a liar! My mother told me who my father was and he sure wasn't any Cassadine. Helena:No, he called himself Cass Stephens when he knew your mother, just as she called herself Roberta Anderson. Carly:How did you know... Helena:Very simply. I'm your grandmother. Carly(knees give out and she sits down in shock on the sofa)This can't be true. Helena:It is. Stefan convinced his father to let him attend university in the United States and since he wanted to be like everyone else and accepted as one of the guys he took on the false moniker of Cass Stephens. He switched his name around with the Cassadine becoming Cass and using the plural form of the american version of Stefan to become Stephens. Cass Stephens. Carly:Stefan Cassadine is my father? But that's impossible. If that were true my mother would know and tell me. Helena:Would she really? Or perhaps because your parents were just children when they met they don't recognize each other. Perhaps, they looked nothing like they do now. I suppose it's understandable they wouldn't recognize each other. I guess anything's possible. Carly:If Stefan Cassadine doesn't know my mother is Roberta Anderson and I'm his daughter then how do you know I'm your granddaughter? Helena:That's very simples. I knew of Stefan's relationship with your mother and when I learned you mother was pregnant I realized Stefan was the father. And once I realized that I immediately approached Ruby Anderson. My only thought was making sure my grandchild wasn't raised in a bordello. Which is why I arranged for my sister, Virginia, to adopt you. Carly:If I knew I was your granddaughter all along, then why didn't you bring me home with you and raise me, yourself. Helena:My dear, I watned to but I couldn't. If my Mikkos had learned Stefan had slept with a minor, he would have killed him, and I mean that literally. So I did the next best thing. I arranged for my sister to raise you and I sent her monthly payments to make sure you never had to do without. Carly:You did? Helena:I did. You don't know how much I lived for the weekly progress reports on you Virginia would send to me. Like the time you broke your arm when you were learning to roller skate. You can't know how I longed to be with you and to hold you in my arms and comfort you like any other grandmother would have. Carly:Why are you finally coming to me after all this time? Helena:My dear, I'm not getting any younger and what with how close your parents seem to be growing, I thought this was the perfect time to come to you. But I should warn you if you tell your parents about this, they'll try to stop us from getting close. Caroline, my dear, was I wrong to come to you. Just tell me and I'll go. Carly(hugs Helena)No, grandmother, I'm glad you came to me and I won't mention a word to anyone about this, not even Sonny.(Helena smiles evily as she begins to caress Carly's hair in grandmotherly affection) Wyndemere: Bobbie(and Stefan enter)Did you see the look on Tony's face when I was testifying? Stefan:I wish I'd had a camera to capture the expression on his face. It was priceless. Bobbie:There was a real hairy moment there, though, when Tony started going on about us burying him alive. Stefan:Yes, but no one believed him. They thought he was making it up. Just like anything else he says about us will be ignored as the paranoid delusions of a mad man. Bobbie:Unless your mother decides to back him up. Stefan, are you sure your mother will keep to our deal? Stefan:Yes, that's why I wouldn't agree to turn over the painting to her until after Jones is sentenced. Bobbie(running her hands through his hair)This nightmare is finally over, isn't it? Stefan:(puts his arms around her and draws her close as he stares down hungerly at her lips)Well, it hasn't been without its rewards. It helped us find each other, again. Bobbie(puts her mouth within scant inches of his)You have a point. A very good point. Stefan:(lowers his mouth to hers for a steamy kiss)I've really missed making love to you on the couch in the middle of the afternoon. Bobbie:(unbuttoning his shirt and trailing kisses down his chest)Well then, miss it no more. Tony's Cell, County Jail: Helena(stands outside of Tony's cell)I understand you wished to see me. Tony:Why weren't you in court, today. Helena;I was attending to some family business. Tony:I wouldn't think you had anymore important family business than attending your husband's trial, today. Bobbie skewered me on the stand. Helena:Did she really? How unfortunate. Tony:How unfortunate? Is that all you can say. I wanna know what you're going to do about it. You told me if I turned myself in, you'd make sure I'd get off the hook. You said you could make Bobbie testify for me. Well, she didn't. She roasted me over a spit and when I told them what she and your son did to me, no one believed me. So I need you to back me up and show the tape to the court. Helena:Dr. Jones, I'm afraid things have changed. But I want to assure you you won't go to jail. I've arranged for you to be remanded to Ferncliff. And after a few years of intensive psychotherapy, I'm sure you'll be released to rejoin society and once again leave a fruitful existence. Tony:You've arranged for me to be locked up in the state nuthouse? You double-crossing old bitch. You sold me down the river. Just what did your son give you in return to get you to stab me in the back like this. Helena:You wouldn't understand. Tony:Tell me! I have a right to know just what my freedom is worth to you. Helena:A painting. Tony:A painting! Helena; It's a very special painting. See, I told you you wouldn't understand. Tony:Are you telling me I'm going to be trapped in Happy Acres weaving baskets because of some stupid painting you want to hang on your wall. Helena:I have no intention of having it on the wall. As soon as I get my hands on it, I intend to burn it. A word of advice to you, Dr Jones. I wouldn't mention anything about Katherine Bell if I were you. People will take it as further proof of your insanity and on the off-chance they might actually believe you, they'll think you murdered the poor woman, which you did. Since we never consummated our union, I will, of course, be having it anulled, immediately. You have a nice life now, Dr. Jones. I won't be seeing you, again. Tony(grabs the bars and yells at Helena's departing back)I'll make you pay for this, Helena! Do you hear me, old woman. I'm going to make you pay for this!
