Sonny's Penthouse:
Sonny( and Carly are sitting at the table eating breakfast)Could you 
pass me the butter?
Carly:Here. I heard you come in late. Just what were you up to, last 
night, anyway.
Sonny:(butters his toast)I was do something for Luke.
Carly:Were you really?
Sonny:I can tell by your tone of voice that you don't believe me. Just 
what do you think I was doing, last night.
Carly:I think you were with Brenda. I saw the two of you talking at 
Wyndham's, yesterday. I saw the way the two of you were looking at each 
other. Was that when you arranged your rendezvous.
Sonny:I've been completely honest with you about Brenda. If I'd spent 
time with her, last night, I would tell you.
Carly:Sonny, ever since that night we made love in the office at the 
club you've been distant with me.
Sonny:Carly, I'm sorry if you feel I've been distant, but I've had a lot 
on my mind lately. And, right now, I've got to go upstairs and shower 
and get dressed for work. Luke needs me to go over the books at the 
club. We'll talk about his later.(he gets up from the table and heads 
upstairs)
Carly(takes out the bottle of Viagra)Well, I know how to end your 
distance Sonny.(she shakes out two pills into her hand and then begins 
to crush them into powder)

Port Charles Grille:
Helena(as Luke sits down at her table)Luke, darling, if I knew by 
getting married I'd garner so much attention from you, I would have done 
it ages ago.
Luke:(tosses the stack of cancelled checks on the table)I just wanted to 
return some property of yours. Care to explain them.
Helena:(goes through the checks)These were in my safe. So, that's why 
you really invited me to your club, last night. You wanted to lure me 
away from my yacht so youcould have an accomplice search it. And the 
reason you followed me to my yacht and kissed me was because your 
accomplice was still on my boat and you were distracting me so he could 
make his escape.
Luke:Well, baby, there's no flies on you, is there?
Helena:Is there anything in particular that you were looking for on my 
yacht.
Luke:Bobbie told me you were blackmailing her with some tape you have on 
her and the Bat, so I thought I'd cut you off at the knees by relieving 
you of it.
Helena:Well, thank you for returning my property to me.
Luke:Care to explain to me what these payments were for?
Helena:I don't think that's any of your business.
Luke:Well, I think it is. You see, the woman you made all these payments 
to just happens to be the woman who adopted my sister's daughter. And 
the payments you made to Virginia Benson started at about the time she 
adopted Carly. A suspicious person might think there was some connection 
between your payments and Virginia Benson adopting Carly, but you'd have 
no reason to be interested in the Spencer's way back then because that 
was long before I sent your dearly departed husband to his final reward.
Helena:Luke, darling, I suggest you let this drop, because if you don't 
you just might find out something you're not going to like. Like the 
Cassadines had a very good reason to be interested in the Spencers long 
before you murdered my Mikkos. I'm aware you detest the thought of your 
sister being with my son as much as I do, but if you don't mind your own 
business you're going to end up pushing them even closer together.

Sonny's Penthouse:
Sonny(is coming down the stairs when he sees Carly pouring something 
into a cup of coffee, then slipping a bottle into the pocket of her 
robe)I was just coming down to apologize to you. You're right, I have 
been a bit distant with you since the night we made love in the office.
Carly:I knew I wasn't imagining things. I could feel you pulling away 
from me.(she hands him the cup of coffee he saw her pour something 
into)Here, I made it just the way you like it.
Sonny:(takes the cup and looks down at the contents inside)Thanks. You 
see, after you left the club that night something happened. I suddenly 
started feeling ill. My heart started beating fast and my head began to 
spin and I ended up passing out on the floor of the club. I was rushed 
to the hospital. When I came to in the emergency room they told me I was 
suffering from a drug overdose and from of all things they said I'd 
OD'ed on Viagra. Isn't that ridiculous.
Carly:Baby, why didn't you tell me.
Sonny:I didn't want to worry you. Anyway, if I've been distant ist's 
because I've been preoccupied trying to figure out how I could have 
gotten an overdose of Viagra. Do you have any idea how it might have 
happened?
Carly:I haven't a clue.
Sonny:(makes like he's going to take a sip of his coffee to see if 
she'll stop him from drinking it, and when she doesn't he lowers the 
cup, himself)The closet thing I can figure out is someone put some 
Viagra in a drink at the club adn I accidentally drank it by mistake.
Carly:That's the only explanation I can think of, too.(she watches as he 
brings the coffee cup up to his mouth, again, to take a sip)
Sonny(blows on it, instead)This is really hot. I suppose you're right. 
But it still makes me wonder. Did someone put it into their own glass or 
did someone try to slip it into someone's drink without them being aware 
of it.
Carly(laughs nervously)Why would someone do that?
Sonny:(laughs, too)I don't know. Maybe they wanted to give their 
partner's sexual performance a little boost without them being aware of 
it.
Carly:(smiles weakly)Maybe. Shouldn't you drink your coffee before it 
gets too cold.
Sonny(smiles as her as he takes a sip, then he spits it back into the 
cup and bangs it down on the table)You'd actually let me drink this 
stuff after what I just told you, wouldn't you?
Carly:Sonny, I don't know what you mean.
Sonny:Stop lying. I saw you put someething in my coffee. Just like you 
did that night at the club. My god, you could have killed me. You don't 
know how much I didn't want to believe it was you because I really fell 
in love with you. And I didn't fall in love with you because we had 
great sex togetehr. I fell in love with you the person. Sex had nothing 
to do with it. Why couldn't you have just played it straight with me.
Carly:How could I when Brenda wasn't playing it straight. You're my 
husband. Mine! But every chance she got she used it to try and take you 
away from me. She seduced you at the Quartermaine party. She even tried 
to seduce you at her own engagement party. What was I supposed to do. 
Just lay down and play dead for her and just let his take you away from 
me.
Sonny:So you drug me with a sex pill. How was that supposed to keep me. 
Come on, Carly, out with it. I've been racking my brain to think why 
you'd do something like this to me and I've come to the conclusion that 
there's more to it than just you thinking you could hang on to me 
through sex. You must have had some elaborate plan for doing this, so 
out with it.
Carly:You're right, there was more to it than just having sex. I knew if 
I got pregnant with your child you'd never leavae me. And to get 
pregnant, you've got to have sex.
Sonny:How did you think you were going to get pregnant. We've had 
protected sex everytime except that night at the club.(he catches a 
fleeting look of guilt cross her face)What else did you do. I know you 
did something. So out with it.
Carly:I poked holes in your condoms.
Sonny:(gasps hardly able to believe what he just heard)You poked holes 
in my condoms!
Carly:I didn't have a choice. I was fighting for my marriage and to keep 
my husband from the clutches of that homewrecking hussy.
Sonny:Well, your stunts have had just the opposite effect, because 
you've lost me. It's over between us.(he heads for the door)
Carly:What about Michael! If you leave me AJ will take Michael away from 
me. You promised me you wouldn't let that happen.
Sonny:You should have thought about that before you started drugging me. 
There's no way I can continue with this marriage after this.
Carly:You're going right to her, aren't you?
Sonny:Yes, I'm going to Brenda. You've made my choice for me.(he slams 
out the door)
Carly(yells at the door)Sonny, I'm not going to lose you!(she rushes 
over to the phone and calls Jax)Jax, it's me, Carly. Sonny's on his way 
over to Brenda.
Jax:What happened.
Carly:He left me. You've got to take Brenda out of town or something so 
Sonny can't reach her. If you can keep her away from him long enough I 
know I can get him back.
Jax:Don't worry, I'll handle it.(he hangs up the phone and turns to his 
father)
John:What is it?
Jax:Corinthos has finally made his choice. He's on his way to tell 
Brenda.
John:Don't worry, I'll take care of it.(he picks up the phone)Moreno, 
it's John Jacks. You've got to move against Corinthos, now.

The Docks:
Sonny(on a pay phone)Brenda, it's me.
Brenda:Sonny, why are you calling me.
Sonny:I've left Carly. It's over between us.
Brenda:Does this mean what I think it does?
Sonny:I love you, Brenda. I want to be with you.
Brenda:Where are you.
Sonny:I'm on the docks near the spot where we first met.
Brenda:Stay right there. I'm on my way.
Sonny:I won't move a muscle.
Brenda:I love you, baby, and we're going to be so happy together. Just 
you wait and see.
Sonny:I love you, too.(as he hangs up the phone someone comes up behind 
him and holds a chlroformed rag over his nose and mouth until Sonny goes 
limp in their arms and passes out)
