Look Out Point: Bobbie:What if we drive Katherine's car to the airport and I take a flight posing as Katherine out of the country, say to Paris. Then I can send the Quartermaines a telegram from Katherine asking them to send her her things because she's relocating to Paris. Stefan:No, it's too risky. The Quartermaines will wonder why Katherine didn't just pack her things herself. And you can't go back to the Quartermaines an pack Katherine's things up. Edward Quartermaine would be sure to want to say goodbye to Katherine. And Katherine's car couldn't be left in the airport parking lot indefinitely. When the car wasn't claimed the police would impound it and the second Mac Scorpio discovered it, he'd try to contact Katherine and when he couldn't he'd launch an investigation. Of course we could wipd down the car, but we might miss a spot and the police could find your fingerprints on Katherine's car and they'd come to you for an explanation. No, it's too risky to even consider. There's too many ways we could get caught. No, it's better if everyone believes Katherine is dead. Bobbie:What if we stick to the original plan. Send Katherine's car over to cliff so it'll crash and explode. Stefan:There will be questions when no charred remains are found inside the car. Bobbie:Couldn't you get your hands on a dead body we could put in the car as a substitute for Katherine. Stefan:Barbara, I'm not the mortician your brother calls me. Bobbie:Stefan, I know you have contacts. I'm sure if you wanted to you could get your hands on the body of some dead Jane Doe. Stefan:It doesn't matter if I can. It wouldn't work in this case. To identify a body burned beyond recognition the police would compare dental records and they wouldn't match. No, we have to find a way to convince everyone Katherine is dead without there being a body and without giving the police reason to dust the car for prints. Bobbie:Brenda Barrett. Stefan:What about Ms. Barrett? Bobbie:Her car went over a cliff with her and her mother inside and neither body was found and everyone assumed they were both dead. Their bodies washed out to sea. Stefan(kissing Bobbie)Barbara, you're a genius. Of course, we'll have to pick a different locale. I know. We'll have the car go over the Lockerbee Bridge. The water current there is the most dangerous spot I know. Come on, let's go. Sonny's Penthouse: Sonny(watches Carly humming as she helps him clear the table)You're in an awfully good mood. Carly:That's because I've finally gotten rid of Uncle Luke. I felt like doing a happy dance when I saw him walk out the door with his bags packed. This must me how a landowner feels when he evicts a squatter. Sonny:Carly, he's your uncle. Carly:And I'm his niece, but that didn't stop him from threatening to kill me if I didn't leave town. Sonny:I'm sure he didn't mean it. Carly:I'm sure he did. Sonny, you weren't there. He meant it. Sonny:It's not like he didn't have reason at the time. You were sleeping with your mother's husband. He was just trying to protect Bobbie. Besides, when you didn't leave town he didn't kill you, did he? Carly:Only because he had a use for me. So he blackmailed me into becoming Katherine Bell's physical therapist so I could spy on her and Stefan Cassadine. Sonny:Only because he wanted to get proof that Cassadine was messing around behind Bobbie's backs and open her eyes to what she'd married. Carly:I wouldn't be so sure of that if I were you. I think it had more to do with his stupid feud with Stefan Cassadine and hoping I could get some dirt on him. I think it had very little to do with saving Bobbie from her cheating husband. Uncle Luke was hoping I could get some kind of proof that Cassadine was the one who shot and paralyzed Katherine Bell so he could send Cassadine to prison for the rest of his life. Sonny:Thus getting him out of Bobbie's life. Carly:Anyway, you can see there's plenty of bad blood between Uncle Luke and I and we'll never get along and I for one am glad he's gone.(she puts her arms around him)Now I can have you all to myself. Sonny:(looks down at her mouth, hungerly but resists the urge to kiss her and reluctantly pulls away from her)Carly, I told you I can't do this anymore. When this thing started between us I had a very clear picture of the situation. Brenda was the love of my life and my soulmate and what I had with you was just sex. But I guess unless you're Jason you can't have a just-sex relationship without starting to have feelings for the person you're having sex with. Now the picture is blurred. Now you've got me wondering if someone can be the love of your life, but not be your soulmate. I mean, you and I are so much alike it's scary. You know and understand me in ways no one else has before. I thought Lily understood me, but what she understood was me the mobster. But you understand me the person and I think I may be starting to fall in love with you. But I'm still in love with Brenda. I still want her. I still feel a pull to her the same way a sewing needle is attracted to a magnet. And sex is just complicating matters. I need a clear head to decide just who and what I really want without sex confusing the issue and I don't have very much time to do it in. Carly:What do you mean by that? Sonny:I have to make a decision about what I truly want before Brenda's wedding. Carly:Are you telling me you're actually letting her force you into making a decision. That you're giving into her ultimatum? Sonny:Look, Carly, to look at me you wouldn't think I was raised with any moral values, but I was. Both my mother and the nuns at parochial school taught me to know the difference between right and wrong. But when I was sixteen and living on the streets cold and hungry, I had to compromise everything I was taught to believe in to survive. Survival for me was Joe Scully and the mob. He protected me from my stepfather, he put a roof over my head, clothes on my back and food in my mouth. In exchange the price I had to pay was turning away from practically every value that was instilled in me since I was a child. What little values I have left are very important to me. And marriage is one of them. If Brenda marries Jax then it's over between us for good. I won't break up a marriage to have Brenda. I'll respect it. Carly:But didn't you pursue Brenda before when you thought she was married to Jax. Sonny:No, I only pursued her romantically after I found out they weren't really married. So if I can't let Brenda go and start a life with you. If I decide Brenda is what I want and I won't be truly happy without her, I can't let her go through with marrying Jax. I'll have to go to her before the marriage takes place and tells her she's what I want. It's the only way she won't go through with the marriage. Lockerbee Bridge: Bobbie(watches as Stefan pours the contents of a bottle of vodka all over the inside of Katherine's car, then throws the empty bottle on the passenger seat.)Stefan, what are you doing? Stefan:Setting the scene. When the police pull the car out of the river, I want them to think Katherine went off the bridge while she was driving under the influence. The water will probably wash away all the smell, but perhaps a trace will survive and they'll assume she was drinking and driving. Bobbie:What do we do now? Stefan:(releases the brake)We give it a push over the side. Then I'll call the police and report seeing Katherine drive her car off the bridge.(they begin pushing the car toward the edge of the bridge. Then it picks up its own momentum as it goes crashing through the guardrail and plunging into the churning water below) Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
