Master Bedroom, Nobody Leaves Manor:
Sonny(and Brenda enter kissing. Sonny pulls away from her, gasping for 
breath)Carly, I told you I can't do this to Brenda. I can't make love to 
you in her house at her engagement party. I won't.
Brenda(rips open his shirt and pushes him down on the bed where she 
joins him)
Jax(arrives and stands in the doorway watching them in shock as Sonny 
and Brenda start removing each others clothes in a frenzy, while 
continuing to kiss each other passionately. But when Brenda starts to 
unzip his pants, Sonny pulls away and Jax ducks out of sight and 
flattens himself against the wall outside the bedroom in a position that 
enables him to see what's going on in the bedroom, but for Sonny and 
Brenda to be unable to see him)
Sonny(pulls his mask off)Carly, I told you, we can't do this, here. I 
won't rub Brenda's face in our sexual relationship. I just can't do 
it.(Brenda pulls him to her and kisses him hungerly as her hands roam 
all over his body arousing him to a fever pitch. Panting for air, Sonny 
finds the strength to push her away from him)Carly, no! I told you I 
can't do this to Brenda. Let's just go home. I called Brenda's bluff. 
She sent me an invitation to her engagement party and I showed up. It's 
a draw. So there's no need for us to stay any longer. Look, Carly, I 
feel stupid talking to you while you're still wearing that stupid 
mask(he yanks it off)Brenda!
Brenda:(smiles)Surprise, baby. I'm so glad my feelings mean so much to 
you. It's so nice to hear.
Sonny:Where's Carly?
Brenda:I paid one of the maids to lure her away so I could get you 
alone. And now that I have you alone and you know it's me, there's 
absolutely no reason for us not to finish what we started.(she climbs in 
his lap and wraps herself around him)
Sonny:(pushes her away, again)Brenda, I may think Jax is a spoiled rich 
jerk, but having sex at his engagement party with his fiancee in his own 
bed is just a little too sleazy even for me.
Brenda:But it isn't too sleazy for you to continue to have sex with 
Carly when I'm the one you really want, is it?
Sonny:I wouldn't still be sleeping with Carly if you hadn't started 
playing your games with me.
Brenda:And I wouldn't have set a date to marry Jax if you had left Carly 
after we made love in the boathouse the night of the Q's welcome home 
party for me.
Sonny:I told you I can't just leave Carly.
Brenda:Oh, yes, you feel obligated to her, don't you.
Sonny:I promised Carly I'd help her keep custody of her son. If I leave 
her she could lose her child. AJ and Keesha are just waiting for the 
first chance they can get to get custody of Michael away from Carly. And 
if I leave Carly the court is more likely to give custody to a married 
couple opposed to a single mother with no visible means of support.
Brenda:Fine, well I told you I'm not going to risk ending up alone while 
you fulfill your obligations to another woman you may or may not leave 
in the end.
Sonny:Just what was tonight supposed to be about, anyway?
Brenda:Just a reminder of what you'll be giving up if you stay with 
Carly and don't do anything to stop me from marrying Jax. And you know 
the only thing that's going to stop me. That's you leaving Carly and 
proposing marriage to me, yourself.
Sonny:Brenda, I don't need reminding of how great the sex is between us. 
Sex has never been the problem with us. Our problems always began when 
we climbed out of bed. I'm telling you now, all these little games 
you're trying to play with me is doing absolutely nothing to convince me 
to end a marriage that's working suprisingly well. By the way, just how 
did you manage to get a costume just like Carly's on such short notice.
Brenda:I paid the clerk at the Port Charles Costume Shop to call me if 
Carly came in to rent a costume and to send me over one just like it.
Sonny:You thought of everything, didn't you? I know this is going to 
sound strange coming from me, but don't you feel any guilt about what 
you're doing to Jax? I mean, you're playing this guy for a fool. You're 
making a prized chump out of him. I mean, if I do what you want me to do 
and leave Carly to stop you from marrying Jax, you're going to dump his 
so fast it'll make his head spin.
Brenda:I don't exactly like what I'm doing to Jax, but I'm just using 
the same principal Jax uses when he takes over a company. He doesn't 
allow himself to feel any sympathy for the people he's financially 
ruining and I can't allow myself to think about what I'm doing to Jax or 
have any sympathy for him. Like Jax, I have to keep myself focused on 
the prize. Besides, as Jax is fond of saying, the end justifies the 
means. Sonny, you and I are in love with each other and belong together, 
so no matter what I have to do to make sure we end up together is 
justified and worth it. Even if it means making Jax think I want to 
marry him when I don't. Besides, Jax will get over it. He always does. 
Look at everything I've done to him in the past that he's forgiven me 
for.
Sonny:Brenda, you're playing a dangerous game with Candyboy. I know you 
think Jax is some kind of modern day Prince Charming, but he isn't. He 
has a real nasty side to him behind that goldenboy glitter of his and 
some day you're going to push him too far and you're going to find that 
out the hard way. If this guy even finds out you're just using him to 
try and get me back, he could very well decide to pay you back for it in 
full.
Brenda:Sonny, Jax would never hurt me no matter what I did to him. Not 
even if he knew I wasn't really in love with him and I was only using 
him as a tool to get you back.
Jax:(grinding his teeth and glaring with a pair of icy cold blue 
eyes)Oh, Brenda, you haven't got the slightest clue.(he heads back to 
the party)But you will. Oh, you will.

Ballroom Nobody Leaves Manor:
Kat(as Stefan pulls Bobbie off her)Did you see that? She attacked me for 
no good reason.
Bobbie:(lunges at her, again)I'm warning you, Katherine, if you go near 
him, I swear I'll kill you. I'll kill you if you even so much as look in 
his direction.
Stefan:Come along, Barbara. Let's go out on the terrace and get some 
fresh air.
Kat(to no one in particular)Did you hear that. She threatened to kill 
me?
Tony;This couldn't be better if I'd planned it.

Outside on the Terrace:
Stefan;Are you all right, Barbara?
Bobbie:Stefan, what am I going to do if she tells Lucas about what I did 
to Tony.
Stefan:She won't do that. I promise you I won't let her do that.
Bobbie:Stefan, how could she know? How could she know what we did to 
Tony.
Stefan:There's only possible way. Jones must have told her.
Bobbie:But how? When?
Stefan:My god! The Executioner!
Bobbie:Stefan, what are you talking about?
Stefan:Katherine's date. The Executioner. It's got to be Jones.(they 
share a look then rush back inside to nab Tony)
