| 'UN-PLUG' WITH PATTERSON! [Note: Mary presents this"preface" to her "0n-line-thesis- draft" with points from Zetatalk's Nancy Leider (www.zetatalk.com) speaking on "the golden-thread" in Hollywood "disaster movies"/versus reality of The "coming" Matrix--and points out her 'take' around a "psychological-core-issue" on "saved by a Messiah" (or "Uncle Sam" in the U.S.A. standing-in!) being re-packaged in some Hollywood movies--classically known as "the messianic compulsion." ] Professor Winnefred Babcock's book: Jung, Hesse and Harold: The New Spiritual Psychology, holds that the 'core' issue of MESSIANIC-PRETEDER in the block-buster film "The Matrix" must first be defined to understand the 'agenda' in current movies (like "the Matrix," "The Core," "Armmageddon," etc.) Messiah-pretender"(Babcock's term)--in the film The Matrix. Hollywood has wrapped and re-wrapped a series of these"messiah-pretenders" in its paradigm-shift-scripts since the early 80's. WHY? This is NOT AN ACCIDENT, or JUST"artistic license!" Could there be an "agenda" you will soon discover? The "messiah-complex" and the "messiah-pretender's" themes are core to Patterson's thesis--and critical for a very specific purpose:... .....AS A TOOL TO GAIN EXPOSURE IN THE "POP-CULTURE" BY THE WORLD-WIDE 'ELITES' --MESSIAH-FILMS--HAVE BEEN PRODUCED FOR 'MASS-CONSUMPTION' TO "PREPARE" ALL OF US FOR THE COMING GLOBAL CATASTROPHIC DISASTERS! PREFACE PROFESSOR WINNIFRED BABCOCK'S CRITICAL POINTS RECOGNIZING THE "MESSIANIC PRETENDER" IN HOLLYWOOD FILMS-- Winnifred Babcock, in her book "Jung, Hesse and Harold: the New Spiritual Psychology," (recommended reading AS WELL AS: Worlds in Collision by Immanuel Velikovsky!) warns us about a socio-political scenario which has tripped-up men and women the world over for MANY many generations! And,--as shocked parents saw with the Columbine High School shootings-- it is a "Messiah-pretender-trip" that we can no longer reserve only for "nut-cases" like Mitchell and Barzee (home-invasion to Elizabeth Smart,2002) Rather as close to parents as their own "normal" teenagers the bazaar emotional struggle with the "Messianic-complex" plays over and over again --only new instruments to a tragic theme. It may surprise many, but the "MATRIX" films (w/Keeno Reeves, Fishburne) were about the journey through "the messiah-complex" (although, we must credit Keeno Reeves with NOT seeking this status himself, but having it thrust upon him by others. The Matrix may be the first film on record showing a very sympathetic (even empathetic) story line toward the infamous mental confusion of the "Messianic Journey." The only other positive light on this 'mission' was given by Joseph Campbell in his research in the book "The Hero's Journey." However, for the most part the famous people caught up in the messianic compulsion have given history its most tragic moments. AND...NOW...COMBINED WITH THE "DISASTER SCENARIO" ....THE "MESSIAH PRETENDER" HAS BECOME--FOR SOME BAZAAR REASON ONE OF HOLLYWOOD'S FAVORITE MOVIE THEMES! CURRENT FILM RELEASES, ("SIGNS," "THE MATRIX," "THE MATRIX RELOADED," "KPAX," "FEARLESS," "THE SIXTH SENSE," "NINE MONKIES," "DEEP IMPACT," "ARMAGGEDON") "SHOWCASE" THE TRAGEDY OF THE MESSIANIC-PRETENDER/DISASTER mix! Nancy Leider, a colorful internet personality writing for "Zetatalk" (www.zetatalk.com) has this to say about recent disaster films: "ZetaTalk: 10.5 written May 4, 2004" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "What the significance of the mini series 10.5? Is somebody in the know giving the public a last minute heads up? The list of movies depicting sudden and horrific events that simulate what we have predicted for the pole shift has now, in the month of May, 2004, increased by the count of two. We are frequently asked to compare our description of the pole shift to what is being depicted by those stunned by what they view. Will it be this bad? How will it differ? The prime difference is that the movies, being fiction, are single thread, with one theme, where the pole shift (note: see www.zetatalk.com )will be a web of disasters, all interconnected and affecting one another. The second difference is in the reaction of people to the disaster. They function. They keep their heads. Political appointees rise to the occasion and help those they swore to serve. The Day After Tomorrow "Unlike the real Ice Ages, which do not just inexplicably freeze a spot on the globe, this is presented as a climate change solely, not a crust movement to put a part of the globe in the position of being a new pole, the true cause of Ice Ages. During the last Ice Age, which laid atop Europe, Siberia was warm enough for mammoths to graze on grass year round far into the polar circle. Did the Sun turn off when it shown on Europe, and blaze doubly strong when over Siberia, on the same latitude as Europe? This obvious fact is avoided. It just happens, so get prepared for climate change to occur suddenly and inexplicably. Of course, this will happen as a result of the coming pole shift, for India and the Bulge of Brazil, and sudden cold from lack of sunlight for these spots will bring freezing cold and death from exposure quickly, as we have stated." 10.5 "Unlike real quakes that rearrange geography, this series of quakes stands alone. Where are the collateral quakes along the plates affected? Where are the adjustments elsewhere in the world? For over a year now, in the real world, gas lines and refineries have exploded, water mains have burst, trains have derailed, bridges separated and dropped, roofs collapsed, and factories have exploded in clouds of chemical poisons, but none of these phenomena that in fact accompany rearranged geography were included in the movie. It was deemed too horrific, so the theme was a single thread only so that recovery could be the presumed outcome. Will quakes topple cities and tear down bridges and create new inland bays where none existed before? Absolutely, and we have predicted that such a tear will occur through Pakistan into Russia and a widening of the St Lawrence Seaway and Red Sea will occur." The Core "Unlike the real core rotation, which is driven by molten parts constantly chasing that which they are attracted to but cannot reach because of the momentum this chase creates, in this movie rotation just stops. As with the real rotation stoppage, there was in this movie an association with the Earth�s magnetic field, but there reality ends. The Earth�s magnetic field is in synch with the Sun�s field, and is not at all reliant on a rotation in the core, nor does a magnetic field turn into a killer laser during rotation stoppage. Is the public to presume, when rotation stops the week before the shift, that man can fix it? At the time this movie was released, this was the hope, as there were no plans to inform the public if rotation suddenly slowed to a stop. We have stated that rotation will grind to a halt, with the Earth intact, prior to the shift. But this will be accompanied by increased quakes and moaning of the Earth, and no manmade fix will be at hand." Deep Impact "Unlike real bodies that sling close to Earth, and cannot be deflected, here NASA comes to the rescue. Primarily a sociological study, cities remain calm and the wheels of commerce turn, because the President says so. Myth one. Inclusion in survival bunkers is determined by lottery, not by the power mad elite who serve themselves only. Myth two. All citizens are deemed equal during this lottery, unlike the real hopes of those wanting to impose Martial Law, which is to select out the strongest specimens for their future worker class. Myth three. The public passively waits until told to "head for the hills," and then waits quietly in their cars on a stalled highway, expressing no more fury at certain death behind them than an occasional honked horn, unlike the real reaction of a public seeking safety in the hills, which is to tear through any barricade and grab any safety line in sight. We have predicted that the public will start slipping to safety in stages, so that in the last days only those unwilling or unable will be in direct danger such as in coastal cities, and that governments will resist any announcement." Volcano "Unlike real volcanic activity, which makes itself known in a steadfast manner, this volcano develops inexplicably without any warning. The motive here is to warn those living on fault lines, and especially those living in LA, that they should anticipate having their life disrupted with unpleasant surprises. The reality is that those living in danger zones already are aware of their danger. Volcanoes erupt, but usually rumble their way into the news well beforehand. Fault lines are quake prone, and quakes strike like lightning, unpredictably. High tides roar in along coast lines, only occasionally after an alert has been issued. Where cities have been built near active volcanoes, they do not survive atop them. After the pole shift, when all volcanoes active or recently dormant should be presumed to explode, life atop or downwind from volcanoes will be impossible. Fumes, lead heavy ash, and gloom will prevail." What is missing from these single thread movies, depicting disaster akin to the coming pole shift? It is the net, the web of problems, happening all at once. Communications are invariably intact in these movies, but in reality, phone lines and satellites will be down, and all transmissions fighting interference. Communications will be dead. A stalwart military plods along like Boy Scouts, full of idealistic resolve. Collecting pay for a job is not the same as dedication to an ideal, and those with a strong need to control their environment, such as top commanders invariably have, are the first to crumble when this control is gone. They rage. They bark orders. The mission at hand is not to rescue the public, but to regain control. Where one disaster is afflicting the public in these movies, the others politely hold back. Quakes without fire storms from broken gas lines. Volcanoes without exploding factories from overheated ground. Life threatening circumstances without fight or flight in people and their pets." In the real pole shift, all will hit at once. There will be no rescue, no roads or railroads supporting travel, no communications by any means, no electricity or hope of power restoration, and certainly no functioning government. Survival groups must rely on themselves, cooperatively, and be practical. The real pole shift is not fiction, as are the movies." (End....Zetatalk comments.) Babcock, in her Jung, Hesse and Harold: A new spiritual psychology, explains that we are so programmed by films and our popular news media--and now, by Hollywood's "cashing-in" on a very old invention of 'artistic drama of "art-imitating-life"--the messianic-theme, that we all have a "built-in" expectation (even a psychological 'need') for the "personal-hero." She explains that in our story-telling, our movies and popular news media (coupled with the "messianic expectation" contained especially in Christianity and most world-religions) that we now have in our collective-subconscious FERTILE GROUND to be looking around within the current "Messiah" --or a good substitute! (Good example--now, "The Terminator" himself, hero/superstar Arnold S. is elected governor of California.) This "fertile ground," Babcock tells us is for the appearance of a charasmatic personality to step forward--as we expect & "need" them to do--yes, "Messiah-pretenders pick themselves--but "allow" others the luxury of hero-worship!) with a "Messianic Pretender" mindset. Many of these people may be totally well-intentioned, ("Neo certainly did not appear in "The Matrix" to be suffering any symptoms of mental illness, nor do we understand do those who slowly work themselves into a position of social "danger" to others in the mindset of the "Savior." Following the slow progress into the "dark night of the soul" David Koresh eventually walked through which triggered the "Waco, Texas" shoot-out with the FBI--we may be able to get a more empathetic "inner-view" of the Messianic Pretender through the character of "Neo" in "The Matrix," which the media could never be expected to present to the American public with the Branch Dividians. Are many "messianics" just getting caught up in their own fragile "egos," and simply moving through a "personal crisis" which draws in others with dramatic with often disasterous consequences? An exquisite example of the 'dangerous ground' expecting a personal 'messiah'--from the perspective of the "disciples" is also given in the the movie "The Matrix." It is the scene where Morpheous--already having made up his own mind that Neo (Keeno Reeves) is "The One"--takes Neo to an 'audiance' with the 'Oracle.' The Oracle--with information the audiance does not yet have--is simply going through the "motions" in the interview-- looking into his mouth and feeling his lymph nodes as a medical doctor would do, but all the time interviewing him like a "shrink." To the surprise of the movie audiance, The Oracle gives Neo a chilling assessment and warning: "You want to know: "Am I the ONE?" stares at Neo. "WELL...sorry kiddo...NOT today. I don't know.....you seem to be waiting for something. But, Morpheous believes you ARE the ONE.... He believes this with such certainty that he will be willing to give his life rather than to be wrong. (Note: Babcock's warning that the "Messianic-delusional may recover himself from the shock of discovering that he has NO divinity-- but many around him may pay a huge price for his self-aggrandizement!) "YOU'LL have to decide, Neo....On the one hand, you will have your own life, in the other you will have Morpheous' life-- you will have to make the decision." At that point, Neo's face drops--and the Oracle attempts to sooth him by offering him a cookie! (Would that really make him feel better?) Babcock points out that often the drama of the "Messiah Pretender" involves individuals on either side of his personality (like Neo's "believers"--Trinity, Morpheous and the crew of the ship) who are willing to make the 'ultimate-sacrifice"--their own lives. And, on the other side of the equasion--as there was in "The Matrix," were people who's agenda is NOT SERVED by having that person actually BE the "ONE." In the case of the Matrix movie, the opposing interests were "agents" who sought to maintain the status quo. Likewise in real life, the "messianic drama" will have the same equasion being played out with one or both parties suffering at the conclusion. We saw a "Matrix-like" drama play out in one American highschool 1998 with the Columbine shootings. (The teens involved supposedly watched "The Matrix" over and over again as they prepared their own "messiah- pretender" psuedo-reality "break-out" drama, complete with long black trenchcoats--recreating NEO's and TRINITY's shoot-out/rescue-scene from the movie "The Matrix's." Like some suggest the Bush administration is actually trying to "force" the Christian "Armmageddon" with the Iraq conflict--perhaps the high chool students wishing to "force" the appearance of "NEO" (or SOMEONE who they could identify as being the "Messiah" they so desparately wished to follow)--at Columbine High School that day. Of course, we will never know the mindset of these tragic young people. What was NEVER addressed in the major media covering the Columbine shootings was the simple question: WHAT was so compelling about the paradigm-shift contained in the body of "The Matrix" film that could induce such a murderous mind-set in these young people? Maslov would most certainly have answered that this event-- while having the "props" of the movie "The Matrix" involved in the perpetuation of the crime....these were actually rather incidental to what was really the core issue of the Columbine shootings. Dr. Maslov would have most certainly have pointed to catalyst for teh crimes as being a young version of "the Messianic crisis." Certainly, too complex a question to present to the general public-- perhaps there was an element of the "Messianic" in the actions of the Columbine shooters--but also, they may have been correct about the horrifying possibility that we are living in a Matrix ourselves! (Mentioned above in Babcock's excerpt from "Jung, Hesse and Harold: A new spiritual psychology.") WE CAN BE and WE HAVE BEEN FOOLED--time after time--be it David Koresh with his "Branch Davidians" of the tragic 4/19/1993 Waco, Texas Massacre, or the smaller-scale tragedy of a few teenagers finding the "messianic" message of a Hollywood block-buster ("The Matrix") catalyst for murder/suicide in a Colorado high school (Columbine High School, 1999.) While they are certainly rare events, these are NOT isolated instances of "group-hysteria" or "a-anti-social-troubled-teen syndrome." (As our media would have us believe in their 5-minute encapsuled analysis on CNN!) On the contrary, Babcock believes strongly that this "messianic compulsion" -- both a spiritual and mental phenomenon is a very 'human-dilemma, which occurs often all around us but at a lesser intensity. IT MAY EVEN HAPPEN--say Babcock--WITHIN OUR OWN MINDS--IF WE ARE NOT ALERT TO SIGNS! Babcock finds, though, that a few simple points of reference--with regard to one's following such a personality--can be easily outlined (as she has done for us below) A simple "spiritual karate," can be given in the setting of, say, a high school Social Studies class that could avoid great tragedy. Seemingly, a simplistic solution to a 3,600 year old problem, this spin-off to the "messianic-expectation" delemma that Babcock and Harold deal with is a good beginning. With little fan-fare--and especially placed it in a secular environment, such as the public school classroom-- these simple points COULD BE INVALUABLE for young adults trying to make their way in a confusing "messianic-expecting" world. These include: CRITICAL POINTS IN THE RECOGNITION OF A MESSIANIC "PRETENDER" I. Do not follow anyone who says or thinks (because he/she has received "a revelation from God") that he/she is the incarnation of any great religious figure, nor the "completion" of some "end-times prophesy." II. Do not believe anyone who thinks he has a unique communication with God (has his "ear") or with any departed great religious figure (i.e., people who feel themselves carrying a "messianic" message for humanity.) Babcock reasons that the reason we do NOT need the "generous assistance" of such "intermediaries" between ourselves and God--as a messiah pretender might wish you to believe he/she is--is that each of us have an ability, if sincerely, can do a one-on-one connection to their own spiritual Godhead. (However, YOU must do the footwork!) III. Be cautious of anyone who feels himself to have been "singled-out" by God (or Aliens) to save the world and rid it of its evils. IV. Be wary of a particularly charasmatic personality who believes he has been "given" the "mission" to express the whole of the truth. Good advice--all the above! Babcock further suggests that a person neither FOLLOW a messianic personality, NOR BECOME ONE YOURSELF! Her thoughts about OUR resisting the temptation to become "messianic" in our own beliefs includes: SURPRISE! Babcock even suggests that private individuals may fall under the seducing (power-based, not spiritually-based) delusion that we are somehow "singled-out" as the mayrter for a "CAUSE." On a self-check/personal level, then, Babcock suggests the following: I. Commit oneself to the concept that EACH SOUL carries within himself or herself his own concept of God, savior, spiritual guide, who insures his or her evolution into a "divine human being"--this will thus relieve us of being personally driven to "save the world from itself!" II. Resist the compulsion to be the constant "truth bearer" to the world ("live and let live" are excellent suggestions, for example, from the 12 Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous!) III. Commit oneself to the concept that each person has access and personal dialogue with his or her God, NO ONE PERSON CAN BE MASTER OF THE WHOLE OF THE TRUTH. IV. To understand that to no one is given the power to convey more than his small portion of the truth; to be more than servant of it and to his fellowman. If anyone should argue that a 17, 18, or 19 year old is "too young" to be a candidate for the "messianic delusion," outlined above, by Professor Babcock and her mentor, Herbert Maslow--who coined the term "messianic complex," in his studies of Freudian Psychology--they need only follow the tragedy of the Columbine shootings of 1999. Maslow, himself, went out on the scholarly "limb" of his time by saying that: "Most famous men are and have been "messianic." (....Feeling themselves "messiah-candidates!") It is widely known, for example, that the famous WWII general, Patton, believed himself "singled-out" for the part his talent was destined to play--he avoided becoming "messianic" with this belief, because he ascribed the driving force to a "previous life" commanding troops in the same European arena during the times of the Romans! However, these "great men" worked through this psychological crisis to come out the other side humble servants of humanity, rather than wishing its worship or driven to control it for "its own good." And, extrapolating that a little further, we must understand that every person, regardless of age, class or social standing will face his/her own "dark night of the soul"to some degree--which is the hallmark of the "messianic impulse." It is something which Babcock's mentor Preston Harold explains in: "The Shining Stranger: An Unorthodox Approach to the Life and Times of Jesus Christ." It is Harold's theory that the reason why some "messianics" rise to fame, while others sink into the oblivion of madness and tragedy is something called "Abbraxas." Harold borrows this term from general physics and explains it basically that contained within each prospects of good or evil is their polar opposite. So it is that when good reaches its furthest extreme (such as losing its positive electrical charge in physics lingo), it flips to become its mirror opposite--evil. And, also, when evil reaches the furthest extreme for its expression (such as gaining a positive charge from its former negative one), it flips to its mirror opposite--good. To apply the "Abbraxas principle" to the topic of "messianic impulse" such as Maslow would see it, the man or woman who "walks through the dark night of the soul in messianic delusion" will find its expression in a positive direction only if he or she has the capacity to maintain his or her mental integrity to see the process through to its polar opposite. And, as Babcock outlines the points about the "messianic pretender" who we either follow (or act-out in our own personalities,) being for-warned with the information about what we are dealing with at the outset of facing the "messianic dilemma" would help us all ennormously. The unfortunate youths of the Columbine Tragedy, given the information we have from Babcock and Maslow, the "messianic dillusion" under which one or more of the shooters found themselves wrestling with as they brought their weapons to the school campus that spring day, there WAS within the extreme of their own "abbraxas" the possibility to NEUTRALIZE the extremes of their actions. The "impulse" could have been recognized, a processing agent could have been introduced and while the emotional extremes necessarily inherent in a "messianic episode," THE EXPRESSION OF EXTREME EVIL (i.e., murder/suicide) WAS NOT NECESSARY. So, by this point in your reading about the "Tenth Theory for a Mythogenic Universe," you will have understood that at least one author (Patterson) has identified and is compiling information about "embedded-symbolism" for a coming celestial event in popular Hollywood films that is actually the "human-seed-idea" for what MESSIAH HUMAN-KIND FIRST EXPECTED, OVER 400,000 YEARS AGO IN GENETIC-MEMORY! And as this "celestial-event-Messiah" draws closer for its 3600 year passing of the earth, the symbols for the "Messiah-that-is-a-thing," bubbles up into our story-telling, our music, our art, in whatever media the "collective unconscious" can speak its warning. Patterson has found that in terms of Hollywood film-design, whether or not the placing of these symbols (for "Planet-x" which is "the-Messiah-that-is-a-thing) is DELIBERATE or UNCONSCIOUS through a connection with the "collective consciousness of artforms" is a matter for the 'conspiracy-hounds.' But one thing is gauranteed.....if all the photographic/astronomical eividence concerning the actual in-bound event of "the-messiah-that-is- a-thing-Planet-X is NOT HANDLED AS A SCIENTIFIC REALITY....It will be distorted and manipulated into a "Messiah-Catch-22" by the PTB (Powers that be)......to the tragic extinction of civilization as we know it. THAT, my friends, is an "ABBRAXAS-EVENT" I pray we never live to see.
