XPW TV for Oct 19, 2002 taped Oct 18th Steve Corino comes out to open the show. He verbally trashes hardcore wrestling, as only he can truly verbally trash something. He dares anyone in the back to prove him wrong. The TPE theme hits and Johnny Grunge steps out. He offers to prove to Corino the merits of hardcore. Corino motions just bring it. No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Johnny Grunge pinned Steve Corino after a DDT in 0:00:22. Rating: * It was amazingly short, but the crowd got a kick out of it. Grunge hit the ring with a trashcan and smashed it over Corino's head. Corino when down like a ton of bricks, but Grunge hit a DDT on the trashcan anyway before pinning Corino. Grunge takes the lid off the trashcan after the match and dumps its contents into the ring: bricks! Grunge sticks the trashcan over Corino's unconconcious head and offers the comment "THAT is the merit of hardcore!" before leaving... ...but he doesn't make it to the back before The New Panthers come out, with Malcolm XL on the mic. They force Grunge back to the ring, where Malcolm XL summons "Friday" and delievers the line of the night to Corino, who has tossed aside the trash can and is lying on the mat still dazed - "you done got knocked the f*ck out!" - then proceeds to run down Corino as a loud-mouthed white supremist and Grunge as a fat worthless cracker who will be one of the first to get sent to some poor 3rd-World cannibilistic tribe who'll use his bulk as the next week's buffett. Grunge replies by hitting Malcolm in the face with a brick, which triggers a brawl in the ring. Chris Hamrick runs in to join the fight against the Panthers. Corino recovers enough to take a few shots before Mustafa tosses him out of the ring. Big schmoz as we go to a commercial. "Black is coming back!" is shown again. TV announcer Kris Kloss wonders if that means Rob Black will be returning and if so if he'll be leading an army to retake XPW? Will it happen at the new big XPW show on November 16th? No-Countout-No-DQ-Two-out-of-three-Falls Match Super Crazy beat Psicosis 2 falls to 0: x Crazy beat Psicosis via the Crazy Bomb in 0:08:28 x Crazy beat Psicosis via the Crazy Bomb in 0:14:25 Rating: *** 1/2 Very good back-and-forth match. Psicosis looked to even the falls 1-1, but Juventud Guerrera apparently ran in and attacked Psicosis, setting him up for Crazy's winning Crazy Bomb. "Apparently" because the attack was dressed in Juvi's old WCW outfit, including his old mask. Odd... Corino is holding an icepack to his head in the back and isn't in a good mood. He challenges the Panthers and Grunge to a three-way tag match next week. Wierd nonsensical promo featuring "Hardcore Homo" Angel, ending with the line "God loves freaks!" Chris Candido confronts Bam Bam Bigelow in the back. He wants an apology for the repeated interruptions when Candido has tried to explain why he's back in XPW. Bigelow's response - "nobody gives a damn!" Shane Douglas shows up and tells Bigelow he's facing off next week in a non-title match! Candido is FUMING over being ignored and just snaps and attacks both guys. No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Vic Grimes defeated Pogo the Clown via pinfall in 0:07:05. Rating: -* Grimes wanted this match for Pogo's involvement last week in the post-match festivities of the Grimes-Sandman match. Grimes gave it everything he had, but couldn't take Pogo down. Pogo began to slowly destroy Grimes when Sandman runs in with his trusty Singapore cane...wrapped in barbedwire! He canes the crap out of both Pogo and Grimes then leaves. Grimes ends up with an arm drapped across Pogo and gets the win! Grimes has now has upset wins over Pogo and Sandman in back to back weeks!
