I get a DOS error about 'memory manager loaded' and 'XMS drivers not installed'. Then it starts the 'Loading Databases' screen and stays there.

Add the following line to the TNM.CNF file:
DisallowDBChecking=1

Note: this problem should not occur in Build 6e or any verison of SE.

How do I remove my registration info from a copy of TNM7?

If you need to turn a registered copy of TNM into an unregistered copy (i.e. has no registration info entered), delete the tnm.reg file. You should always double check this to make sure it worked!
How do I move a copy of TNM7 to a new computer?

Use a program like WinZip to create a zip file containing the TNM copy (be sure to maintain the directory structure!). Then simply copy the zip file to the new computer and unzip into your directory of choice.
After unlocking SE easter eggs in one copy of TNM, how can I quickly unlock them in another copy?

Copy the extras.cnf file from the TNM where the easter eggs have been unlocked to TNM where you want to unlock them. This file is located in the Data folder.
After copying an existing copy of TNM7 to a new computer, it wont export or won run at all

For some reason, you sometimes need to install a new copy of TNM7 on the computer first to prevent existing copies being moved to the computer from screwing up. Also, make sure your TNM files are not set to Read Only - this often occurs if you transfer the TNM copy via CD-R or CD-RW
TNM7DIAG crashes when checking circuits

Be sure you have at least 1 circuit in TNM. Not having any circuits will usually crash TNM7DIAG

Create a file in your main TNM directory called tnm.os and have the file contain only one thing - a number corresponding to your OS
1 - DOS
2 - Win 3.x
3 - Win 95/98/ME
4 - Win NT/2000/XP

1) right click on the program icon for TNM
2) click on "Properties"
3) go to the "Program" tab
4) uncheck "Close on Exit"
5) Click "Ok"

1) right click on the program icon for TNM
2) The property sheet will pop up. Look for a field labled "Run in" (or something to that effect) which will probably have %windir% in the text box on its right.
3) Replace %windir% with the folder where your TNM 7 resides, e.g. c:\tnm7
4) Click "Ok"
