This website is all about the Front Page Sports: Football Pro series (aka Fbpro). Fbpro was a great award-winning series of football games by Sierra from 1992 till 1998. After attempting a massive overhaul of the program for the 1998 release, Fbpro99 got rushed to completetion and was horribly bug ridden. Attempts to patch it were insufficient and the program was recalled. But the planned rerelease a year later as Fbpro2000 was soon scrapped and Sierra killed the series. It lives on (primarily the 95 and 98 versions), with a very strong cult following including on the internet.
If you're interested in getting Fbpro98, your best bet is probably either eBay or Yahoo Auctions. A few brand new copies are usually still available for under $10 plus shipping. You'll also need to get the v1.08 patch for Fbpro98, which can be found either at Sierra's site or in my Misc Downloads section.
I've been playing Fbpro95 since Christmas 1994 and got Fbpro98 in August 2002.
